1. The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

“Booked our spa/pool/beach day at the Westin after our cruise, because our flight didn’t leave until almost 6 pm. Very clean, well-maintained facility. Jackie at the spa was very helpful checking us in and giving us details and wristbands for access to the spa and pool. The spa offers separate areas for men and women. Each provides good-sized lockers, showers, sinks, hair dryers, a jacuzzi, a great steam room, bathroom facilities, and a relaxation room. Not busy at all when we visited. The pool area was very busy, as the day was beautiful. Pick up towels for the pool or beach there. A pedestrian walkway passed over the main highway with direct access to the public beach. The day pass also gives you access to free lounge chairs on the beach. Umbrellas are an extra cost ($25.00 for the day). We arrived about 11 am and the doorman at the Westin was happy to store our luggage. The beach area was not busy, but all the lounge chairs were filled up by about 1 pm. Drinks and food are available at the pool. We will definitely return! So much better than a boring airport.”

“This hotel goes above and beyond cleanness! It is not only beautiful, but you can see the maintenance and attendants going above and beyond to keep the property in top shape and COVID-19-free.
The pool is beautiful and the views are awesome. The pool area is clean and the bar service is nice. The music and ambiance are very relaxing. The restaurant downstairs offers a great happy hour and the Valet Service is great. I will be returning to CONRAD AGAIN! LOVED IT!”

3. Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach/Oceanfront

“Pompano Beach is a great location even though it seems to be less sought after than Hollywood Beach.  Parking only costs $15 for the day, but it is valet-only and you need to pay in cash.  The parking attendants are very efficient at retrieving your car if you need to leave and come back.  This Residence Inn has a functioning HEATED POOL and a HOT TUB.  During the day, if it is cold, they heat the pool and then they heat it even more so in the evening if the ambient temp gets lower.  This Residence Inn is directly on the beach so you don’t need to cross a big busy street to get to the beach.  There is an extra fee to rent 2 beach chairs and get beach towels ($30), but it is worth it.  The staff on the beach and the staff by the pool are great and attentive!”

“GET THE DAYROOM !!!

The place looks like an old retirement home completely modernized into a chic motel. Everything about it was first class.

Valet your car for $10 w/ dayroom compared to a $47 overnight stay.

Check-in was seamless. The room was professionally decorated, clean, and comfortable.

Ate breakfast on the ground floor poolside. Great ingredients and perfectly prepared. 

Now, here’s the coolest part of this place. There’s a glass door at the ground floor pool deck leading to another building/hotel. Enter the glass door and take the elevator to the rooftop. Step out of the elevator and you’re now on the 8th floor rooftop pool bar.

The view is of the Ft. Lauderdale intercoastal. A pretty damn good view I might add. Lounge chairs are everywhere. Staff will even open an umbrella for you to protect you from the sun. A fully stocked bar with reasonable prices. Heated pool! You could spend all day here.

I would definitely revisit this place. It was awesome!”

“I recently learned about the RestortPass app from a cousin of mine. I decided to finally try it out, after spending some time with my niece who was begging me to take her to a pool. It took some time after setting up an account to find something suitable for us. I ended up going with this hotel and I loved every minute of it. The front desk clerk was very accommodating. She was very friendly and very helpful with updating my reservation, after bringing another guest with us. The hotel has a very modern feel to it, as well as the pool area. My nieces and I were able to get lunch nearby and came back to the hotel for some more pool time. Overall I will definitely be back and I rate my experience a 10/10.”

“We ended up coming to B Ocean Resort for a second day after using our day bed resort pass.  It exceeded our expectations. The pool was fabulous – it was heated to a perfect temperature (maybe 86 or 87 degrees – still refreshing but not cold at all).  Towels were aplenty.  Our daybed was in the front row of chairs and beautiful ocean views.  We had a lovely day relaxing, collecting shells, and swimming in both the ocean and the pool.  The food service (we ordered lunch from the servers that take your orders on the beach) was a bit slow but in these days of labor shortages, I didn’t expect anything different, especially since we were ordering at peak lunchtime on a weekend.  The bar by the pool is awesome if you want a quicker way to get food/drinks – the bartenders there are wonderful.”

“LOVED this pool! Perfect pool day at Hyatt Centric with great accommodations for a perfect day’s stay. Our lounge chairs (complete with clean lounge towels) under a welcoming shade umbrella started off our relaxing day. Mike was very friendly at the bar and I ordered the empanadas for lunch which were very yummy. And I can say enough about that pool! Aaaahhhh!”

“My husband and I booked a ResortPass to pass the time during an extended layover. A shuttle to/from the airport is included, so that’s a plus. The check-in process was easy and the staff was very welcoming. They held our luggage while we grabbed food in the shopping center nearby, which is within walking distance. We ate at Ocean One and our food & drinks were extremely affordable. When we returned to the hotel, they gave us an access card to access the pool/gym area on the 5th floor. The pool area was spotless, there was plenty of seating, and the pool was not crowded at all. We came on a weekday, so we were not thrilled to learn that there was no poolside food or drink service during the week. That was the only downside. Everything else was perfect and we felt like this Resort Pass was a value given the location and the airport shuttle. It’s not beachfront, but that wasn’t a necessity for us as we just returned from vacation and were only looking to burn time.”

“My sister and I used Resortpass for the first time at the Ritz in Fort Lauderdale, after getting off a cruise ship – our flights weren’t until evening. It was a wonderful location, and was a very classy pool area, with great bar/food service, and an incredible view of the ocean. It’s easy to walk across the street to the beach, go for a walk along the waterfront, or even pop down to street level where there are many places to shop or eat. They provided cold bottled water to all guests, and the bathroom even had a shower so we were able to freshen up before our flights.  If you are looking for a place with loud music and a party atmosphere, this place is not it.  But if you want a quiet classy place to hang for the day with easy beach access, it’s perfect!”

“So happy I decided to get a dayroom at this hotel for our 4th of July day action. Since the room wasn’t available until noon we took the kids to the beach which is right across the street for a couple hours. Once we were ready to check-in it was nice to have a private room to cool down relax, and take a nap. After lunch, we took the kids to the pool which was nice. Before it was time to check out we were able to shower which is really convenient for spending the whole day at the beach/pool. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the location was perfect. It was a very nice way to spend the holiday.”

“From the moment we arrived everything was taken care of.  The check-in process was quick and easy, we just gave our name and were handed wristbands and an outline of the benefits we would receive with our day pass.  Our luggage was stored as we were flying out that night.  We had full pool and beach access but chose to find a spot by the pool for the day.  The service at the pool was impeccable – Brian set us up with chairs and towels and consistently checked in with us during the day, even offering additional warm towels when the pool shaded over for a short time.  The food service was slow to start the day off but did pick up.  The food was delicious- we had quesadillas and jumbo wings (would recommend!) and received 15% off our food without having to remind everyone. The pool area and lazy river were quiet, and guests were respectful of the area.  It seemed to be more of a boutique feel. You can bring your drinks down to the beach and there is even happy hour 4-7!”

“We booked the cabana and LOVED it!  We departed our cruise and had several hours to kill before our early evening flight. The hotel was 15 minutes and the airport was a 15-minute ride.

As soon as we got to the hotel they stored our luggage easily. We went right to check in and were given keys to the pool access. Our cabana was ready and stocked. We enjoyed a private space. The loungers were not reserved for cabana users, as they were out for all hotel guests. However, they put covers and towels on 4 right away to save them upon our arrival. We ordered lunch in the cabana. After lunch, we were able to change into travel clothes and call a car for the airport. Overall a great experience and would do it again!!”

13. The Atlantic Hotel & Spa

“We booked the Pool Suite to pass the time between when we disembarked from our cruise ship in the morning until our flight was scheduled to depart in the evening.  This suite filled the time perfectly! 

The room was the only room located on the pool level.  It was very convenient for the kids to jump in and out of the pool all day.  There was also a small hot tub large enough for 4 people on this level.  The room was extremely large with a spacious bathroom, lots of closets, and a stocked kitchen with cooktop, fridge, plates, cups, utensils, pots, and pans.  There was both a king bed and a sofa bed for afternoon naps.  The pool was on the 5th floor of the hotel, so the large balcony/patio had amazing views of the ocean, which was right across the street. 

The day reservation also came with some finger foods included.  We opted not to get the pitcher of margaritas and a bucket of beer, which were included in the reservation, and in exchange, the bar staff let us have water and sodas all day.  Overall, the staff were all extremely nice, including the check-in staff, the bell service folks, and the bar staff. 

I would highly recommend the Pool Suite as an option for anyone spending the day in Fort Lauderdale!”

“We ended up here last minute after another property refused to honor a reservation and it was PERFECT. Check-in was smooth and easy even with a last-minute reservation and we were given a key to access the fitness and business centers. The pool was a bit busy but just enough to give it a fun vibe. Music was playing but not obnoxious and definitely family-friendly. People were in good spirits. The bartender at the pool bar was busy but kept up with demand and was super friendly and helpful. They offer a great little menu including options for kids (we had my 8-year-old with us) and a BBQ lunch at noon as well. It was fun to watch the yachts sail by, the water taxi stops at this location, and there is a business that rents jet skis and a pontoon boat to tour (I believe inclusive of a captain). We would definitely revisit if we are in Ft Lauderdale in the future.”

“We got off our cruise on Friday, December 13 and our flight wasn’t leaving till 6 PM, so we decided to try the resort for a day at the Hilton.  The pool area was super nice.  The pool was large and nicely heated as well as clean.  We were able to snag 2 loungers in front of the glass partition that provides a beautiful unobstructed view of the beach across the street. I believe beach chairs would have been given to us with our wristbands (signifying we were resort for a day guests) because it said that was the case on the card handed to us from the front desk.  We didn’t have long enough time there to utilize both pool and beach, besides it was pretty overcast and breezy, so we opted to just enjoy pool time.  The wifi was great for catching up on a bunch of emails I needed to go through after being on a cruise ship for 12 nights.  Another great amenity was the lobby at the hotel where I could plug in my almost dead phone and charge it up enough to order an Uber to the air”
