The views and location were great! There were ample seats on the beach and at the pool. Do not expect fast or friendly service. We went to the grill restaurant by the pool and the waitress was so slow and busboy was so rude. After waiting 30 minutes for our check, we asked him for help and he just blew us off and said he was just the buss boy.

Had an excellent experience, Service was better then expected.

We booked this cabana to have a home base after check out and before our 11pm redeye. Prompt and friendly service when we arrived and throughout the day. Absolutely breathtaking location. Combination of a beautiful calm beach for the kids, snorkling areas and a few pools. Only negative feedback is on the bathroom, which was dated and stinky. No good spot to shower or change.

This resort is undergoing renovations in a couple of months so it is woefully understaffed. We were there on a Saturday and many people come up to the property from the public beach to the bar and then settled nearby the pool so they essentially had the same access as we did but for free. I think it is hard for the attendants to keep track of everything bc they are so overworked. They were short on towels, out of several items on the food menu, and service was extremely slow. This property is gorgeous, but it is a little worn down - a lot of mold on the umbrellas and chairs. It's not worth the money right now. I would recommend the resort pass option overall but definitely not at the Princeville Resort.... wast of money.

My son and I had a lovely afternoon at the Princeville Resort. Every single resort team member was welcoming and friendly. The other guests were relaxed and inclusive. The pool area and beach were gorgeous and comfortable. Mahalo for allowing us to see the luscious side of the island. We hope to visit for a longer stay soon. Aloha, Tiffany & Brogan

Great service, incredible location, the view from the pool is just spectacular. Only one of the 3 hot tubs was working though, which made it tough since on all these rainy days everyone tries to get into the hot tub. The big pool was really nice though, kids loved it. Food was so so, (we had nachos, super underwhelming with some liquid velvita like nacho cheese), cocktails decent.

What a perfect way to spend the day! Loved the pool, jacuzzis, lunch menu, beach. The sun was hiding most of the time but we made the most of it!

We loved staying there for the day. Highly recommended!

My family purchased resort pass last week.Day 1 went very well, so decided to come back the next day—- so sorry we did! We arrived only to be told “ sorry, but the pool is closed for treatment “ They told us we were welcome to use the beach facilities?? We could do this anywhere in Kauai without paying for it! My family decided to relax by the pool and have lunch.Our waiter Adam asked what room to charge our bill and I told him we were not staying at the hotel. He then very rudely told me we needed to Leave now; as the pool was for quests of the hotel only. I explained we purchased a resort pass. He appeared embarrassed and walked away. We then needed to go directly to the bar anytime we needed anything, as Adam never again waited on us. A rep for resort pass offered a refund & I let her know we were staying a bit in hopes of swimming . She was to check back on us in an hour & never came back! We spent over$500 for food and passes! Never again!
