1. Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

“10/10 recommend! We booked a daybed at the Sonoran Adult Pool for our last vacation day since we had an early check-out at our hotel in downtown Phoenix. We had such a heavenly day enjoying drinks and bites by the beautiful adult-only pool. The wait staff was so attentive. And the daybed was beyond comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fresh plate of fruit, and Nico took great care of us throughout the day. It was so luxurious to spend a day here! The front desk graciously held our luggage for the day and then showed us where we could shower – all without a room! This was the best perk as we wanted to feel clean on our 5-hour flight home! We ended the day with a round of drinks and small plates at the hotel bar which was unreal (try the humus if you can!!) and then got an Uber with no problem to the airport. We can’t wait to book another daybed here next time we visit! It was definitely worth the extra money over the regular pool chairs.”

2. Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale

“A group of 9 of us went to Mountain Shadows in Paradise Valley, AZ for the 4th of July. It was such an easy and seamless process. We walked right in (no check-in necessary) and found our name on the sign lying in front of our cabana. The cabana was stocked with an awesome fruit platter, bottled water, a TV, a fan, and towels. Our waitress brought us our complimentary bottle of rose, and another server poured us each a glass. There was plenty of room, plenty of shade, and everyone was really nice. There also was no minimum we had to spend on the bar/food tab. My only complaint was that I think they were understaffed, so the drinks took forever. Our Coronas were warm, but they ended up comping them anyway. Bathrooms were easily accessible from the pool and very clean (and fancy). The pool was great, not too crowded and the water actually seemed clean. I would definitely come back!”

“Check-in with David, the Concierge at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak was a breeze. The resort is gigantic but I was able to find the pool area with no problem. My visit was during off-peak season so there weren’t too many people at the pool, which was nice. However, it does have more than enough space and lounge chairs to accommodate lots of people during the high season. One of the two restrooms offered lockers and showers as well as a changing area if you do not stay at the hotel. That was a nice added bonus if you decide to purchase a pass to only use the pool and need to change before catching your flight. The food and drinks were decent; the waitress was attentive. The price is typical of hotels for food and drinks. Ordered fries with cheese sauce and a double moscow mule which totaled $27. Overall, my experience at the resort was good. Signing up for ResortPass was a breeze, as was navigating the site. I have a feeling I will be using RP frequently now. Totally glad I signed up!”

5. Crowne Plaza Phoenix – Chandler Golf Resort

“First, let me just say that I LOVE ResortPass. I’ve been wishing for ever you could just get a day pass to a resort to use the amenities because we live so close to a few resorts but don’t want to pay to stay the night – we just want to hang out by the pool and feel like we’re on vacation!! Crowne Plaza was beautiful – it wasn’t too busy, even on a Saturday afternoon/evening. There’s a full bar right next to the pool and you can also order food, delivered right to you! Super easy to book, check-in, and check out. It’s a beautiful place – not crazy nice, but really nice for the price. There are even towels on-site you can use. On this page, it says the bar/food closes at 6 pm, but it was open until 8 pm. Regardless, it’s walking distance to downtown Chandler where there are other restaurants you can easily grab dinner at after a day at the pool and come back for a night swim! PERFECT daycation :)”

“From the moment I walked into this gorgeous property until the moment I had to leave, it was nothing short of what people dream a luxurious vacation day would be like! I had a smooth, easy, and quick check-in at the front desk then headed straight for the pool and it did not disappoint!!! I was greeted by Trista who welcomed me with a warm, friendly, and professional hello! She told me about all the different pool areas, food options, and temporary restrooms (due to renovations), and made it clear if I needed anything to let her know! I chose to hang out for the day at the Adult Pool. The lounge chairs are soft and cushiony and the pool is very refreshing! Then, along comes Annie, the most amazing server EVER and she made the rest of the day absolutely perfect! She was so bubbly and super attentive, and when I could not decide what to order to eat she suggested the most delicious, fresh, beautiful Salmon salad that was perfect for the very hot day. Thank you for everything! I will be back!!!!”

“Great experience.
We had our choice of cabanas (1 and 2 are best for sun/part shade – the rest are in shade most of the day in March). Cabana 1 is right beside the hot tub. Inside the cabana, we had 2 loungers and a sectional corner sofa, a rectangular footstool/table and a small square table, a ceiling fan, a power outlet, and wifi (need to ask the concierge for a password). Just outside were 2 more loungers, an umbrella a garbage can, and another small square table. Towels and a water dispenser are close by as well as the restaurant. The toilets are fairly close to the lobby/behind the restaurant.
The service was attentive but not too much. The package was supposed to come with a fruit plate 6 bottles of water and 6 pops – what we actually got was a big fruit basket with bananas, apples, and oranges, a bag of pretzels, a bag of fruit nut mix, 6 pops (of our choice), and a metal bucket with way more than 10 water bottles in it as well as ice. They ask you when you want it delivered when you check-in.
The pool is heated and a good size. Overall a great day- very relaxing and would totally do it again!”

“Great pool day escape! The food and drinks from CALA were amazing. We did brunch at CALA then headed right up to the pool. Chris the bartender has got to be one of the best and super kind!! Im so picky with drinks and he is a poolside beverage perfectionist. The pool was refreshing, but could use more shade and the pool decking is concrete so it gets pretty hot there and hot to walk on, so bring shoes for everywhere you go! Comfy chairs, daybeds, and loungers. Will definitely be back.”

“Had an amazing daycation! Started with the history tour hosted by the wonderful Robert Eclaire. Then enjoyed the paradise pool — the poolside service and the water slides are the best. Wrapped the day with snacks at the spire bar. The service throughout the resort is always top-notch.

We love to do a staycation or daycation here a few times a year. While there are many beautiful resorts in the area, this is one of a kind as it gives you the luxury & stunning architecture, as well as a very rich history that traces back to the early days of Phoenix’s development.

Whether you choose to stay overnight or visit for the day, make sure you visit and experience it for yourself at least once. Take some time to walk the grounds and take in all the scenery, everywhere you go the spirits are watching over you. It is a magical place that you will want to return to, guaranteed.”

First time visiting Sheraton Grand and let me just say, what a great experience. This resort is at the top of my list and will visit often now. Definitely going to let everyone know about this resort, the location is awesome, the staff so so nice and accommodating, so much to pick from in terms of food. Many pool areas to enjoy. The view was beautiful. Even though we are still in high temperatures outside it was nice to cool down from it with the pools. Thank you for the experience I’ll be back”

“I am very picky when it comes to pools. I really enjoy a clean pool, a clean environment surrounding the pool, and maintained water/grounds. This resort definitely met my expectations! My husband, daughter, and I purchased a day pass during our Arizona trip instead of going to the pool at our Airbnb. It was the best decision I made and we enjoyed spending a Thursday at this resort. It was not busy and the waitress was very attentive & super nice. The lazy river is awesome and my daughter enjoyed the water slide. I loved being able to ease into the pool as the depth gradually increased. There were birds that walked around attempting to eat people’s foods or drink your water but it wasn’t a big deal. We just ate all of our food & made sure to cover up our drinks once we got back in the water. BOOK IT! We will definitely be back. I did not think the Cabanas were worth it. There was more than enough seating with umbrellas & we were fine.”

“I celebrated my birthday afternoon at the Lylo Pool Club at Rise with my sister, and it was everything I could have wanted. The beautiful day and weather certainly helped too, but the resort itself was fantastic. The pool has a decent amount of shade from the sun, yet there are enough spots for those who do want sun rays. The pool is clean and kept at a really refreshing temperature. We reserved lounge chairs, which were right against the pool (rather than the daybed – I recommend this if you have a smaller group as the daybeds are all behind the lounge chairs and not next to the pool). We had a great view of everything and could go in and out of the pool at leisure. Service was really top notch and they took good care of us (pitcher of water right away, and good check-ins throughout the afternoon). Expect a lot of sweet and tropical drinks, which we loved (very tasty). Loved the theme and really felt like I was on a vacation. Highly recommend!”

“Incredible spa daycation. With the wellness pass you get access to the fitness and yoga class schedule as well as the spa amenities which are awesome (and not even free to hotel guests). The hydro-therapy circuit was not to be missed and the pool scene was super serene. We hope to be back!”

“I got a day room at The Scott in order to spend the day at the pools with my young kids in mid-January.  We had the BEST time!!  First of all, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous.  The room was spacious, king bed with a patio, and had everything we needed.  There are 2 pools.  One is zero entry with “sand” (more like little pebbles) and is fairly shallow so it’s perfect for kids.  The second pool is deeper and there is one hot tub.  The pools are heated to 85 degrees according to the hotel staff.  The shallow pool was pretty nice but the deeper pool was pretty cold, as it doesn’t get much direct sun in the winter.  Tons of towels available and the pool food was good.  There was hardly anyone at the hotel when we visited which was great.  I can imagine during a busier time that the pool would get crowded quite quickly.  I’d love to return during a warmer time of year and do the cabana with a group of adults.”

“Everything was amazing! We checked in at the front desk but also had some questions for the concierge – both were extremely helpful, personal, and friendly. Truly cared about us having a good experience which I thought was especially nice since we were “just” day pass guests and not true guests staying there. The nice man from the concierge even recognized me later on and asked if we were having a nice day so far. Very impressed with the extremely nice and personable staff at this resort. In addition to that, our servers by the pool and also at the restaurant were friendly and so helpful.  The restaurant wasn’t even open yet and the server was able to get us an iced coffee when we asked where we could find one. Our server by the pool also brought my sister a birthday drink at the house because we mentioned that’s why we were there.  Amazing service! And of course, this is a beautiful and relaxing property. Everyone was having fun by the pool but still was a relaxing atmosphere.”
