1. Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead

“Context: We took the day off to “play hooky” as it was a milestone birthday for my date.

We arrived at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead around 10 am. We were greeted at the front desk by Megan. This got the day started fabulously because Megan was so courteous, friendly, thoughtful, and professional. She assigned us a very nice room, and we headed upstairs to get changed.

Our objective for the day was to have a relaxing day by the pool, and we were able to do exactly that. The weather cooperated (mid 80’s, mostly sunny). Although there was no F&B service by the pool, we were able to go to the Onyx bar and order appetizers and beer/cocktails to bring to the pool. The Onyx staff gave us all utensils and appropriately put beverages in plastic vessels.

After a day of lounging by the pool, we went to get changed for dinner. Megan informed us that she could make the hotel shuttle available, but we opted to just retrieve our own car.

Great experience. Will definitely come back! Thanks.”

“This was a pre-Mother’s Day to relax with my family. We arrived around noon so there was no problem getting the lounge chairs around the pool. The pool was nicely warm and the view of the city was great.  The wait for the drinks at the bar was a bit long later in the afternoon as the area got busy but we were not in any hurry.  All the staff members were very courteous and accommodating. The food served by the outdoor grill was great and was just enough to keep us satisfied until dinnertime. Overall it was a great early start to the summer while visiting Atlanta.  We will definitely return.”

“It was my daughter’s 23rd birthday and she wanted to have a Mother & Daughter Spa day so she suggested a staycation at the Waldorf.  It was a great experience from the start! Starting with the hotel valet staff, all of the staff at the spa, and the front desk staff…EVERYONE was kind, helpful, and super friendly!  Everything was clean and they provided plenty of towels, toiletries, slippers, robes, bottled water, and a personal locker.  We did not get a specific spa service, but just having access to all the wonderful amenities was plenty for a full day.  We first worked out in the fitness center for an hour, then we put on our bathing suits, grabbed our robes, went down to the pool to order lunch (which was very good), and relaxed poolside.  Then we went back upstairs to go sit in the sauna to detox, then moved to the whirlpool to enjoy the hot bubbles.  To end the day, we showered, got dressed, checked out.  We were there from 10 am – 3 pm and had a wonderful day, it was not crowded either!”

“My Husband and I visited from Wisconsin to see our Brewers play the Braves at the end of July 2021. As you can imagine it was very hot and humid all three games. We chose to get tickets to the stadium for the night game which was still over 90 degrees for part of the game but couldn’t bear the thought of sitting in the stadium for the Sunday afternoon game. The Omni rooftop (5-floor roof) pool stadium view day pass was so perfect. We arrived early and checked our bags with the Omni. The staff gave us our wristbands and key and we headed to the roof. we were all alone for at least an hour, even after that very few people and great service. Our bartenders were so awesome. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was good also. There was not an event in the area closest to the ballpark so we were able to sit and watch the whole game with a great breeze, drink in hand, and a nice pool to jump in if we got hot. I would highly recommend it. Worth every penny. Great view of stadium entry entertainment too.”

“What an amazing staycation option! Obsessed! The resort is beautiful, located on Stone Mountain Property, and the staff is very friendly. I lounged poolside while listening to music and enjoying food/drinks from Rocks Grille onsite. You can bring your own snacks and cooler, which is nice. I’ll definitely be back!”

“So glad I booked this!! This was my first time buying a resort pass and everything went smoothly. I arrived at Intercontinental Buckhead around 4:30 pm and self-parked. What a beautiful hotel!!! I went to check in and the woman at the desk was so nice (sorry I forgot her name) but as soon I gave her my last name she provided me with a key card. Side note she was surprised that I had a pool pass because they are sold out and in high demand. Lucky me! I booked months ago for my bday. I made my way to the bathroom to change and then out to the pool. Just gorgeous! And not crowded at all! I went to the bar and asked for the sandwich and drink that came with the pass. The young lady told me it was her first day so she wasn’t aware but she called her manager and I got a sandwich and water. Then I got cozy on the comfortable lounge and just chilled! It was so nice and relaxing and not many people there. After I got my parking pass that was it. 5 stars!”

“This little daycation was just wonderful! I’ve been wanting to reserve a night at this hotel so this day trip gave me a little taste of what to expect. The pool was clean and beautiful and the landscape was very nice. I really enjoyed the music that was playing and the comforting lounge chairs. The rooftop bar has such a cool vibe as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bonus for me was that although I’ve seen many complain about the cost of valet parking I only paid $27, which I guess is all that you pay if it’s only for the day and not overnight. I was there for about 6 hours. I will definitely be back for not just a day trip.”

“This place is really nice. Upscale and modern. Upon arrival, the  valet was good and the guy working the front desk to check you in was great!! He was professional, nice, and informative. We had no problems getting checked in. I was afraid that using the day room pass that check-in would be a headache but it was the exact opposite. The room was nice and clean. We changed and went up to the rooftop pool. The pool is small but nice. The water was ice cold, so it took us a minute to get used to the water, even in this hot Georgia sun. I will say though that I went expecting a laid-back atmosphere but the rooftop pool was like a library!!! Like me and my husband were looking around everyone was reading and whispering. Not that I was looking for a hip-hop club but it’s a pool with a bar, I thought maybe I’d hear some soft music or at least some laughter but no. We ordered a sandwich with fries from the bar for $25. It’s expensive here but it’s nice a nice adult atmosphere. I have to go back to try Dirty Rasch”

“This was a great experience. We had an awesome and great time. We spent our anniversary in a Cabana at the pool with our close friends. We were well-accommodated by our server. She was courteous and had a great personality. The vibe at the pool was just right. The music was vibing and the crowd was really cool. We rented the cabana for the morning and afternoon. It took a minute for the servers to check on us and set up. But they made up for it with included services — Fruit tray, water, ice, and champagne. The food was excellent. We ordered wings, Kale salad, Strawberry salad, and chicken and waffles. We enjoyed everything.”

“We came in on a Thursday afternoon. We parked in the parking deck. I was confused about where to go at first but the lady at the hostess stand for the Reverence restaurant stated I was at the right spot. She checked my ID and gave us our bands and a pool card to get into the pool area. The pool area was very trendy and cute. It was a nice-sized pool with a lot of seating around it and cabanas. We loved the cute lounge chairs in the pool. They also had a few free floaties to use. They provide towels on the pool chairs. There were about 20 people or so. There’s a bar with decent seating around it as well. We ordered drinks and food. Not a very extensive menu but the quesadilla and brussel sprouts were tasty. Service was friendly and attentive.”

“We were 5 middle-aged women, there to celebrate a birthday. It wasn’t crowded at the pool, the service was good, the pool was refreshing, the music was chill, and the weather even cooperated (I know that wasn’t Resort Pass’s control, but still). We are thinking now about trying this service at lots of local hotels!”

13. The Whitley Atlanta Buckhead

“Went to the Whitley on a Thursday. The Spa checked us in and offered us comfy robes. Fortunately, the pool area was pretty empty. The heated pool and hot tub were wonderful. If I had more time, I would have done a workout in the gym! The bathrooms were very clean and offered a lovely shower. The warm sauna was in the bathroom too – a nice perk! My only complaint was that the locking mechanism for the bathroom lockers did not work. I would have preferred to lock my belongings, but I just ended up keeping my most valuable items with me.

Parking is validated to the parking deck next door and for valet!!! I’ll do valet next time because the parking deck was a bit of a pain to navigate.”
