Golf Pass: Afternoon

18-hole championship golf course designed and created by acclaimed golf course architect Rees Jones. Our 18-hole masterpiece pulls in elements from several of the world’s classic courses – some designed a century ago. The layout ingeniously blends its traditional character with endless subtleties for a challenging experience. Mindful of the natural elements and in homage to the game’s storied history, Jones created a golf course of great integrity and environmental consciousness that seamlessly folds into the terrain, so it appears to have been here forever.

Day Pass

Spend a day there for a girls day at the beginning of October. It rained the day before, but did not rain at all the day we were there; however, ALL of the lounger cushions were soaked. I'm surprised they didn't take them off the chairs during the downpours days prior (or every night). So we had to pull them off the chairs in order to stay dry while seated. The attendants did not seem very helpful either. We got our own towels and found our own seat, which is normally fine, but I thought for this type of resort they would have seated us and arranged the loungers with towels, etc. The pool did not seem heated at all! Which was fine later in the afternoon as it was sunny and warm. So for the early morning we tried the hot tub, which was luke warm! Lunch by the pool was good, and they had a nice coffee shop inside the hotel.

Poolside Cabana

While the set up was perfect, the service was lacking. The staff were working diligently to service the area, but they were understaffed. We waited long periods of time for our drinks and food to arrive. Our fruit platter never came and we asked for it like three or four times. Our drinks came with melted ice because of how long it was taking to get from the service station to be brought to us

Poolside Cabana

Service is top notch, excellent! Cabana was well stocked and we were fortunate that the pool was not full. If you feel like it, you can walk over to the sister property for the lazy river. The only drawback is the TV was not working 100% We wanted to listen to music and they couldn’t get that to work. Overall it was still a great experience.

Family Pass

Waldorf Astoria in Orlando was decent but not what I would consider to be a 5 star resort. The pool area was decent but felt like a hotel pool not really a resort style. We had to walk over to Signia by Hilton which is next door to use the lazy river and ended up preferring that hotel. If we book again we’d likely book with Signia instead.
