They have minimal pool chairs to accommodate the entire hotel and any ResortPass guests. And once you are there, most of them you have to purchase for $300!

Day Pass at Mission Pacific Hotel

This is the second time I've gone on a day pass with friends to this hotel. It a so great. The only thing I would like to let people know is you need to get there before 10:00 a. m. or there will be no spots for you to lounge at the small area around the pool. This is because there are reserve signs on all the lounges and cabanas in case a guest wants to use or rent them. This causes open areas and nowhere to sit for people who are in resort pass or anyone who has not reserved a cabana. ( Which an cost over $250) That was troublesome for us because we had nowhere to sit around the pool. Staff is five stars all around. Food is excellent! Loungers are so so comfy if you can one. View is the best in Oceanside.

The view here is absolutely incredible, and I want to give credit to the staff because they were genuinely kind, accommodating, and very apologetic about the situation we experienced. They even comped us drinks, which was appreciated. That said, I do think there needs to be more transparency when selling ResortPass pool access. There are only about five lounge chairs available for the entire pool area, and when we arrived, every chair was already taken. We ended up sitting on the side of the pool for a couple of hours waiting for someone to leave. If pool passes are being sold, there should either be enough seating to reasonably accommodate guests or clearer disclosure ahead of time that lounge chairs are extremely limited. The staff handled it as best they could, but management should address the setup because it definitely impacted the experience.

I had a great time here, but everything was much smaller than I had pictured. The pool has a capacity of 17 people which was unbelievable at first to see and there weren’t any loungers available when I got there at opening. However, the staff was great and drinks and food were good.
