Overall everything about my Day Room experience at Hotel Ziggy was very good.  Easy check-in, room was available when I arrived. Very clean.  The only criticism I have is that both the first floor landing outside the elevator and the room itself had an "off" odor, almost like wet dog.

Great Value & Location

Needed to book a place last minute for a few hours and saw promising photos of Hotel Ziggy. Check-in was easy, and the manager at the front was very helpful and polite. The room was clean and ready when I arrived, and the patio/pool area is very nice. They also have a margarita happy hour at the bar in the lobby.

The hotel staff were really nice and helpful. The pool itself is nice. Wish it was heated. The vibe was chill. Food and bathrooms are on the 3rd floor and the pool is on the first. That didn't bother me too much. Food/drinks are expensive but to be expected. I would visit again. Be aware that if you want sun, theres a small window of sun between 11-3 because of the buildings.

Favorite Staycation 

My first time using the app and visiting the hotel. The front desk staff were helpful and checkin was easy. Most of the pool furniture belongs to the guest rooms that surround the pool, there were 4 sofas and 4 loungers for other pool users. The pool is on the 1st floor and reception, restrooms and the bar are situated on the 3rd floor. The tiles that surrounded the pool were filthy and greasy, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months and the water was a little murky. Probably wouldn't go back. 

Great location, dirty pool

The place is so cute and we were really excited about it. But we went on a Saturday there was no DJ was there .. bummer  BUT Most importantly We thought since we were a paying for a DAY room we would get a room with direct access to the pool and that was not the case. The manager was quick to tell us that they are not obligated to give us a room off the pool and stuck us in another room that didn't have direct access. We complained and nothing came out of it . So don't be fooled like us. You WILL NOT get a room with direct access if you have purchased a day room pass. 

Not as expected

I will definitely be returning to Hotel Ziggy! The staff was very friendly. From the moment I arrived at the hotel the valet staff pointed out a parking lot across the street for $2/hour instead of valet starting at $25. It was kind of misleading on the day pass reservation that the valet was $25. The hotel is right on the sunset strip close to tourist destinations. I booked a dayroom for myself and two children. My plan was to spend our time enjoying the pool and have the convenience of a room to relax and shower after. The front desk was able to accommodate us with a room on the first floor with a door leading out to the pool. My children and I were able to use the pool then walk back into our room to relax and order food then go out and enjoy the pool again. Check out this hotel!

Great Location

I bought a Day Room at Hotel Ziggy for a pool side party at the hotel. It came to $200 after fees and such. I based my purchase on the great photos of the Day Rooms on ResortPass. You know, the ones where you can see the pool area through the windows, there's the outside furniture and it's right by the pool? Those are  NOT the rooms you get. I was given room 328. It's nowhere close to the pool. My view was of an alley. Guess what? YOU CAN'T EVEN BUY THOSE POOLSIDE ROOMS ON RESORTPASS. The pictures they used are for the Hotel Ziggy's "Swim Up King" rooms. You have to buy those through the hotel directly, and they go for $300+. This is a clear example of bait and switch and it's illegal in California.
