Hotel Riu Plaza Miami Beach

A friend and I decided to Daycation at the RIU for Juneteenth. It was our second Daycation at this hotel. Other than parking NOT being available both times, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach and lounge by the pool. The service is excellent, the food is good, drinks great, and atmosphere pleasant. Parking is the only downside. Took me about 20 minutes to find parking on the street. Nearby public parking lot was full. Excellent value for the money.

Daycation - This is the Place!

Great hotel, check in was really easy and we had them store our bags for us.  The staff was great and the pool and lobby were very nice, we returned from a cruise and we had about 6 hours until our flight.  We had a great time, relaxing/ eating by the pool.

Great place to hang out in Miami Beach

I probably wouldnt come back here again. We booked while waiting to catch a flight in the afternoon and it was the closest walking distance from our hotel. It was nice to have service on the beach and pool however, the pool was noisy with a lot of kids. We got there around 11:30 and by the time we left around 3:30, all the pool chairs were gone. Chairs were not all that comfortable and on the beach extremely close together. Would be great if there were indoor showers as we were catching a flight afterwards. Staff was very friendly though so that was a plus!

Awesome Resort 

We had a fantastic time! The location and service are great. We spent most of the day on the beach. It wasn't as crowded as South Beach, which I liked.

Location is perfect

Smooth check in and check out. They stored my luggage while I went to the pool and beach. Pool area was fairly small. The beach area was nice. I wish they had showers indoors or a changing area inside. I had to get dressed in the bathroom. I was there on a Friday, therefore they charged me the weekend price. Not really worth the price difference. $30 is reasonable but $55 is too much. 

Okay for the day

The access is very complete: fitness center, pool and beach access. We really enjoyed our day, we had no issue to find a chair at the pool nor at the beach, the staff is very friendly and the ambiance is very chill. However, I remove 1 star because the staff at the Alligator Bar billed us 3 cocktails instead of 2 by mistake and they were unable to refund us. We had to ordered a 3rd cocktail to not waste our money even if we didn't need it. This is not professional.
