Hotel del Coronado

A great spot to spend a day.  Very large beach, numerous nice restaurants.  The hotel is a special place for sure.
A negative mark for Cabana pool. Only one hot spa, and filled with children, I expected an adult situation for a $250 cabana, and kids spit, etc, not healthy (witnessed). Won't do the cabana again. Second negative mark for high prices of everything - just glad I got a free parking spot which would otherwise cost a fortune alone.
Took a whole hour once arrived to get checked in, not clear where to park, then check in, waiting line. Need to provide details beforehand to folks.
If I do go again it won't be to the pool, and one should expect to spend a big chunk of change for a good time.


Beautiful setting, really special place, skip pool

None of the hotel staff we asked knew what ResortPass was or how to check us in.  I suppose this could have been a one-time fluke, but I would like a refund for my purchase.

Coranado Hotel

Clean, not too crowded. Pool was warm. Plenty of towels. Food expensive but thats expected. Only wish beach chairs and umbrella were also included

Great experience 

Needed a bit of a break. Sat by the pool and our waitress, Veronica, was fabulous!  She made the day !  Only cons would be the screaming children and techno music.. there was such a variety  of clientele that that music choice didn't match- nor did it match the hotel ambiance.

Nice

The Del is gorgeous and this is the best way to experience it without needing a room! The pool is very big and clean, the daybed reservation comes with a bucket of chips and cold water bottles, and there is poolside waitstaff for food and for the bar! You get beach access, multiple restaurant options, and shopping right in the hotel. I will say the daybeds here are a little small because they are round, so if you like to stretch out I suggest just booking normal chairs.

OMG, what an amazing experience.  I am from DC and was visiting great friends of mine in SD.  It was a random choice to do this and it was the best decision on how to spend a day on my vacation.  I will definitely do this on my next visit!

Cabana @ The Del

I wanted to experience this hotel, but couldn't afford a stay here. The resort pass was my opportunity. The grounds are beautiful. I just wish the pool had had a view. I arrived at 10:30am on a Thursday, and there were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas on a blazing hot day. It got busier later, but there were still loungers to be had. All the staff I encountered were very friendly, and poolside service was good. The music being played was current, and added to the vibe. Park in the underground garage and get your ticket validated at the front desk when you check in. Not sure Id go back as its one of the pricier passes, with plenty of other excellent options in the area, but Im glad I did it once.

Hotel Del Coronado 

The day pass was exactly what we needed to spend the day enjoying the resort's beautiful pool, hotel bars and beach.  Service and drinks were  excellent! Great beach side vibe.  I would recommend arriving early to get a good seat around the pool.
