Best 11 Pools in Houston

1. Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center

2. Hyatt House The Woodlands / Shenandoah

“Highly recommend having a pool stay-cation day at Hyatt House The Woodlands! We had a wonderful experience here! It was very clean and we really enjoyed the pool and lounging on the poolside chairs! We went earlier in the afternoon and the water kept us nice and cool!”

“I *felt* like I was off on a long holiday when I was literally down the street from my office on a Wednesday.
To make it even better, I had friends working in an office across the street from the hotel. It was SO much fun to taunt them from the pool as they were sitting at their desks working.

The pool area is quite an oasis. The lazy river was a bit too lazy – no water flow to keep us moving.  But we still enjoyed relaxing on the tubes and also just walking or swimming around it several times. There is one area with jets that we stayed in for a while – like a jacuzzi in the midst of the lazy river.   And I noted it was along the “Rio Grande” portion of Texas where the natural hot springs are located. I’m not sure if that was by design or just a fabulous coincidence. 
The lounge chairs on the sun deck portion of the infinity pool were sublime. Could have laid there for a week!

The food at the High Dive grill was good and seemed reasonably priced to me ($12 for a turkey BLT wrap with a side that was very filling).
Drinks are too pricey though – $14 for a pina colada in a smaller-than-solo cup (12 oz?).   
You’re only going to eat one lunch, but you’ll have multiple cocktails so the $$$ add up!
It is nice they have water stations around the pool area with ice water coolers and cups.

We did the spa pass which included their ‘butler’s pantry’ type bar. Ice cold bottled water, tea & coffee, trail mix, candy dish. And we also got a welcome mimosa when we arrived!  SWEET!   We had the locker/shower area to ourselves on the Wednesday we went.   The showers have Dove shampoo/conditioner/body wash and there are some other amenities such as makeup remover towelettes, cotton swabs, mini hairbrushes, etc. along with a hairdryer. I’d opt for Spa Pass again next time.”

4. Four Seasons Hotel Houston

“I had a great experience at the Four Seasons, and will definitely return when I want a quiet, relaxing day by the pool on a Sunday afternoon. Saturdays are apparently more lively, with a DJ for entertainment. Arrive by noon – this is a smaller pool deck area, with limited seating, and chairs will fill up fast. Food and Beverage service was also great – excellent quality, and very attentive poolside service. Expect to pay Four Seasons’ prices, but you will not be disappointed by the Four Seasons quality/quantity of what you receive. The street taco appetizer was delicious paired with a Pool-Loma.”

Overall Experience

The pool area is very intimate, and clean with a few nicely shaded areas. The staff was AMAZING…very attentive, and responsive and kept me smiling and feeling special. The lounge chairs are few and on a first come first serve basis. I was able to get a lounger within 20 minutes of arriving even though it was packed…just keep your eyes open for people needing a break from that Houston heat lol. The food was really good and fresh. I look forward to returning


I did not stay at the hotel. This was a pool day pass I purchased with @resportpass. They have LUXURY HOTEL OPTIONS FOR EVERY BUDGET! The Resort Pass amenities for this hotel included:

Validated Valet parking for the day

Free Water (I recommend you bring a bottle since the cups they provide are small)

“My Fiance and I had an awesome staycation at the Hyatt. Everything from the entrance to the exit was amazing!! We received excellent customer service from the bar area with our food and drinks. Brittany was Awesome. The pool was super clean, and the hot tub was amazingly hot with working jets. Thank you. we really appreciated the nice and warm hospitality. All the food was exceptional”

“Visited on 3/10/23 there was a huge conference happening but even so there was no trouble getting checked in. Be sure you mention Resort Pass and show them the amenities included, remind them of complimentary parking so they can add that too. They were super kind, attentive, and informative. Got our key card parked in the garage with no problems crossed over and arrived on the 23rd floor. Let them know we had a spa pass and Ramiro was attentive and gave us a tour of the facilities and everything mentioned in the pass we had access to. We had the pool area to ourselves from 10 am to 4 pm not one person came to the pool except workers passing through who all asked if we needed anything. The indoor pool was a great cool temp, the hot tub was wonderful, and the views were amazing. Towel service, plenty of chairs. There’s an amazing outdoor deck with couch patio furniture and lounge chairs to catch the sun. The only bummer is no bar on the floor, or until 5 pm when R24 opens. Having the locker room access makes a difference.”

“Was looking for a pool day pass to break away from these scorching hot days, and came across ResortPass. Out of all that were available, this hotel had the best deal. You have access to a room where you can store all your personals, rest/relax on the beds or sitting area, AND you can shower after pool time! I believe the hotel’s fairly new so everything was very clean and beautiful. The pool provided towels (although they might run low, we grabbed the last ones) and there’s a pool bar to order drinks.  Plenty of sitting areas w/loungers and tables & chairs.  The price was great for up to 4 ppl and we had such a great experience!”

“I decided to treat my adult daughter to a lovely Resortpass day for her birthday! This was my first time at the Omni Houston Hotel Galleria and everything went smoothly as planned. I purchased a VIP pass for my daughter and I had a wellness day pass. Easy check-in process at the front desk! The pool area was clean and there were towels and water provided. They had music and outdoor speakers available. Restrooms are located inside the hotel or outside near the pool area. The pool was very refreshing and relaxing. You might also catch a glimpse of the black swans in the nearby pond. I personally did not utilize the Mokara Spa amenities because I just wanted to stay in the pool but my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her 60-minute massage which was included in her VIP pass! Food and drinks are available for order inside the cafe on the weekdays. We were told poolside service was available on the weekend. We will definitely plan another visit real soon!”
