Location and Nearby Attractions

The Arizona Grand Resort is located at 8000 S Arizona Grand Parkway in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. The resort is very close to the local airport and downtown Phoenix. This makes it a particularly optimal spot for travelers hoping to explore all the fun the city has to offer.

Arizona Grand Golf Course

Located on property just a short walk from the resort is the Arizona Grand Golf Course. The challenging 18-hole course covers 6,300 yards of terrain. Golfers will compete while overlooking a gorgeous view of the South Mountain and Phoenix skyline. For those looking to get in some training, they can utilize the practice facilities, which include a putting green and driving range.

South Mountain Preserve

The South Mountain Park and Preserve is one of the largest American municipal parks. Across the 16,000 acres of land, you will find three mountain ranges, flatlands, native desert plants, and wild animals, including lizards, tortoises, and coyotes. Legoland Discovery Center

Nestled within Arizona Mills is the Legoland Discovery Center. This LEGO-themed indoor playground is perfect for kids looking for a place to get creative and play. The space includes climbing walls, slides, a jungle gym, an action-packed 4-D Cinema, LEGO character meet-and-greets, a DUPLO Farm building area, and two indoor rides.

SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium

Also located at Arizona Mills is the SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium. This family-friendly aquarium is home to over 5,000 sea creatures. Guests have access to more than 30 aquatic exhibits, a 360-degree glass tunnel surrounded by sharks and other marine life, and touch pools where you can pet sea anemones and starfish.

About 25 minutes from the resort is Old Town Scottsdale. This vibrant neighborhood, popular with tourists, is filled with gift shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Every Thursday evening you can enjoy the Scottsdale ArtWalk, where galleries open up to the public for free. This area is also famous for its nightlife. Room Types and Amenities

The Arizona Grand is a luxurious all-suite resort, designed with a residential style that makes guests feel at home. There are three different guest room categories for visitors to choose from. Across the board, they all feature amenities like televisions, hair dryers, minibars, ironing boards, air conditioning, and cleaning services, but they do pose some differences.

  • The Guest Suites are spacious two-room suites that feature a living room area and private balcony or patio. Guests will have a choice between a single king bed or two queen beds. 
  • The Grand Suites are two to three-bedroom suites, including a spacious living area with a bathroom for guests and a separate bedroom with a bathroom, work desk, and king-sized bed.
  • The South Mountain Suite is a spacious one-bedroom suite that includes a sitting area, separate dining room, private patio, and oversized bath.
  • The Sedona Grand Suite features two spacious bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen-size bed and queen sofa bed, two full baths, and a liquor bar.
  • The Arizona Grand Suite is the largest presidential suite and features three bedrooms and private baths, a living room, and a dining room, all overlooking the Oasis Water Park.
  • There are also studio and one-bedroom Arizona Grand Villas that offer up a residential guest experience. Located on the backside of the property, these spacious suites overlook the golf course or mountains. They also come with a walk-in closet, kitchen with full-size refrigerator and microwave, designer countertops, custom cabinets, sleeper sofa, luxury bathtub, glass-enclosed shower, private balcony, and dining area.

Aside from the illustrious suite options, the resort also features incredible facilities for guests to enjoy like the Arizona Grand Athletic Club & Spa. The 20,000-square-foot fitness center features more than 40 cardiovascular machines, an indoor racquetball court, a free-weight room, a five-lane heated lap pool for swimming, and more.

The Arizona Grand Spa provides a relaxing and serene environment for anyone in need of pampering. Services include massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, hair treatments, and a steam room.

There are also several on-site restaurants for guests to pick from. The Lobby Grill offers a casual atmosphere and comfort cuisine, Rustler’s Rooste is a famous Western-themed steakhouse, and Aunt Chilada’s is a beloved neighborhood staple that serves up delicious Mexican cuisine.

How Many Slides Are There at the Arizona Grand?

At the Arizona Grand Resort, there is a 7-acre Oasis Water Park filled with aquatic fun for guests of all ages. The park includes three slides. At the 8-story Slide Canyon Tower, you will find a free-fall waterslide, a speed waterslide, and a serpentine waterslide.

Other attractions at the Oasis Water Park include multiple outdoor pools, including a family activity pool and the Caliente Springs 25-person hot tub. There is also a giant wave pool designed to have a beach-like setting that simulates ocean waves.

For something a little more relaxing, you can check out the 950 ft lazy river. Surrounded by rock formations and lush greenery, guests can travel gently throughout the park on inner tubes. Young guests can play at the Wild Cat Springs splash pad.

How Far Is Arizona Grand Resort From the Airport?

The Arizona Grand Resort is conveniently located just six miles from the Sky Harbor International Airport. The fastest way to get from the airport to the resort is by car. The drive takes on average about 15 minutes. 

You can use a complimentary shuttle at the airport to reach the Rental Car Center located a few miles away, open 24 hours a day. If you are not interested in renting a vehicle, consider using a taxi or rideshare service.
