Sunscape Puerto Plata Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

The resort was run down, half of the bars were closed and the ones that were open served drinks that tasted like water , there were peddlers ALL over the beach, the chairs were falling apart, the food was cold and not good. The kids wanted to leave after an hour and we were glad to go. Very disappointed!!!!

Amazing day

We were unable to go to the resort and am requesting a refund as taxis and buses stated they were  unable to reach the location.  They stated we would have to walk a good distance via foot.

I really like the location, the swimming pool. Not happy about the food. For all-inclusive resorts food was limited and didn't have variety. Same with the a la carte restaurants

This place looks NOTHING like the images advertised. In person, it looks quite run down. Also, as a day pass purchaser, you only have access to a small portion of it, which is fine, but looks different from the images advertised. One of our party got a burger from the pool bar that was completely raw in the middle. All of the other food we ate there was really, truly awful. The liquor used for drinks was very cheap, really gross, and served in teeny tiny cups. We were only there for a few hours anyway, and the check-in process took over 45 minutes. Then we had to check out and that took longer than it should have, also. Overall, I think we maybe spent two hours there. Everyone in our party wanted to leave early. 
I wish we had not purchased these passes.

Beautiful grounds, the pools, and finally the magnificent beach - you will be totally mesmerized.  One of the best hotel locations that we've been to in the Caribbean.  And to top that, totally refreshing cocktails and a very delicious buffet lunch.
