Nice Pool and space

We decided last minute on a 90 degree Monday that we wanted to cool off. The pool at Sonesta was exactly what we expected when we bought our day passes. This pool area doesn't have a lot of frills, but it is worth the money spent. There is a bar and snack stand in the hotel lobby that is easy and accessible. Restrooms are right outside the swim area and offer a larger space for changing. Towel service was adequate. We would come back on another hot day.

Great Spur of the Moment Experience 

Location was central so downtown denver which made it convenient, but the sun started going behind the building by 12 and at 2 we were in shade despite moving 2x.

Also not nearly this many pool lounge chairs are available. They should replace the couches and high tops with more loungers 

Great Spot. . . For the first 2 hours of sun

We opted for the $20 per person option and went downtown to Sonesta. We got there early (8:30am) checkin was painless. All chairs around the pool were full by 10:30am so it was good we got there when we did. Plus it really got hot by 1pm when we left. Pool was quiet despite being full. Only down side was we could have really used an umbrella at some point and there were none. 

Great for the price

As others have stated, the mostly sun dips behind the building in the afternoon, but personally I appreciated being out of the direct sun. The check-in process was easy, the pool was heated, and we were able to get decent drinks at the bar in the lobby. 4/5 stars because for the price, I'd hope for a slightly nicer pool area, this one is basic and did the trick on a hot day, but had no jacuzzi or other amenities in the pool area.

Great rooftop

Basic pool with no amenities on the pool deck: no umbrellas, no water station, no ability to order food, no shower room. That said, it was as advertised, so no complaints, just not the location for a staycation experience. Also, the sun hides behind the hotel building afternoon 12-1pm or so, so if sun is a priority in the afternoon, this is probably not the best choice for you.

Basic; no amenities

The pool itself is nice enough with good views of downtown but the sun disappears for the rest of the day after about noon or so.  Pool is on the 6th floor, not the rooftop- thus the sun blockage.

Lack of Sun

While the pool appears from photos to be "rooftop" it is in fact on the 6th of 21 floors. For the large part of the day (anything past noonish) it is shaded by the additional 15 stories of the building, connect to the pool on the west side.
