Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix

Parking was not including so be prepared to pay $20 extra for that. Attempted to get temporary room key and check in at front desk but they had no idea about our reservation through Resort Pass. They sent us up to the third floor where the pool was. Nobody checked our reservation so theoretically you can just walk in and enjoy the pool. Only one or two bartenders and took awhile to get drinks since they were busy. If you are a picky eater they dont have food to accommodate you. Other guest had to let us in since we were not given a room key. Not worth the $80. 

Will not be back

Using Resort Pass here was such a fun and easy experience! Not only is it a rooftop pool but it is connected to a rooftop bar in which the servers come around the pool to take your order and are very attentive to your needs. Also if you stop by the front desk on the 1st floor on your way in/out they will validate your parking which makes it free! Great experience overall! 

Everything you could ask for!

Used it instead of waiting all day at the airport - best choice ever. Yes - the pool is in the shade, but in 100 Arizona heat, the shade is welcomed. Limited poolside seating so get there early for best choice. Best for small groups. Bar is close and food is good. Bathrooms are available and clean. No showers. 

Great pool, Great location

The description said fits up to 8.  It was more like 4 or 5.   That was the only downside.   The service was phenomenal.  The drinks and food were good.  Overall, it was a happy and fun time.  

Great Service but Small Space

To begin with, there was no host waiting at the pool door, and the only way to get in was with a hotel room key. We waited outside the door for a while, hoping someone would come to open the door for us. When we finally got in, there were no towels available, and the employee we asked for help simply told us "good luck" finding some. While we waited for towels and chairs to become available, we decided to have lunch at the roof top restaurant. 

Our experience at the restaurant was equally disappointing. The service team at the restaurant was the same as the pool staff, and although Resort Pass is not responsible for our experience at the restaurant, it is indicative of our overall experience at the hotel. We had missing food, rude servers, and waited an extremely long time for basic requests. It was not the enjoyable experience we had hoped for, and it significantly impacted our time at the hotel.

Horrible Customer Service

Ok experience, not the best pool day I have had but not the worst. When my friends and bought the day passes we were aware with first come first serve seating. The photos online are a bit deceiving, the pool/lounge area is not a large space at all, extremely limited seating. Best to come solo or with a +1, not group friendly. Our group was 5 and shared 2 chairs. Also, as the day goes on the sun is blocked by the hotel, shading roughly 90% of the pool and lounge area. Some may like the shade, but my group and I really hoped to soak up more sun. We will not go back, not worth $40, unfortunately. A bummer because we were quite excited to check out a new spot.

I loved the view from the pool overseeing downtown Phoenix and the drinks were pretty good!

The location was nice but there wasn't that much sun where the pool is. Also they must be understaffed because it would take like 30 minutes to get a drink. There were 2 pool servers walking around, but there was also a wine event that day. I probably wouldn't go here again. Drinks were ok they don't have any seltzers or ciders either. We didn't eat here so I'm not sure how the food is. 

Not much sun

Bad location and no opportunity to use this pass. Person at front desk didn't seem to care about checking myself and my guest in. I asked if we needed a key for the pool to be able to get into the entrance, he said no, you can just make your way up to the third floor and someone there can check you in. Well there was no one to check us in at the pool either, we could just walk in (and just to add, in the reservation it specifically says to check in so we are provided a room key). The front desk didnt even check my ID or the ID of my guest. If its that easy to use the pool by just walking in, what is the point of paying for a resort pass? I was extremely disappointed and decided it wasnt worth my time staying, so my guest and I left. I have bought many resort passes and this is the first time I didnt have a good experience. I will be calling my credit card to request a refund. 

Poor location 

Hotel was great, good location. Short walk to chase field. Our room was big and comfortable. Pool is beautiful but wouldnt ever pay to rent a cabana again.
