Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa

Upon arrival you get two key cards that give access to the pool and workout room; two vouchers for two towels each; & two coupons for two complimentary rum runners (no subs). You are supposed to get a slightly reduced parking rate if you parked your vehicle yourself.  
The pool is on the 8th floor, & it was ridiculously loud & crowded. So we decided to visit jam-packed Clearwater Beach across the street. To our surprise, there are NO HOTEL CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS THERE. You must pay for them, so why buy a daypass at all?
When we arrived, we were explicitly told we would have access to hotel showers. After returning from the beach and waiting for twenty minutes for someone to unlock the door leading to the showers, we were to told by another staff member that hotel showers are ONLY FOR HOTEL GUESTS. There is a “shower” out by the kiddie pool, but it was broken. Classy. My wife and I were forced to clean up as much as we could by using the public showers on the beach.
We will NOT return.

Waste of money; we will not return

There are a lot of things to do, specifically with kids. We participated in the activities with the hotel monitors and my son and my daughter loved it. The only thing I didn't like is that the pool is not on the same floor as the beach and is very small.

the hotel is very complete

This was a great option for our family as we were only in Clearwater for the day while my husband was diving. Yes the pool is crowded but that is expected. Inflatable toys should not be allowed due to the size of the pool. Otherwise we had great service, great drinks and the food was good too.

Lovely afternoon!

I had a great time enjoying both the beach and pool area at this hotel! Unfortunately, the beach chairs are taken away at 5 (I thought it was at 8 because that's what is listed on resortpass.com) so I had to go to the pool at that time. I went at the end of July so it was extremely crowded at both the beach and the pool. I almost didn't get an empty chair on the beach at all! I would highly recommend going during a less busy month if possible.

Great experience overall but depends when you go!

My family and I decided to drive from Orlando to Clearwater for a day at the beach and found resort pass. I was able to purchase tickets which allowed us to spend the day at the Hyatt. The hotel was clean, the staff members were nice, and the sunset was amazing! 

Great view with excellent Customer Service

Nice property. Enjoyed our visit. The hotel is directly across from the beach. The staff members were friendly and helpful.  

Excellent Service

The pool is way too small and overcrowded. Most employees act like they want to go home. The bartenders (sisters) were nice at the Tropico Pool Bar. I was told I could get my $29 Valet ticket validated if I spend over $50 at the Hotel. I was denied the validation. The Hotel Manager would only take  $4.00 off. Intimidating and very unfriendly valet guy took the liberty to charge me $25 for parking and then proceeded to add a $25 tip without my consent. 

Not Impressed

It was nice to have beach and pool towels available.  The beach access was great and it was good to have a place to go in and cool off. The check in staff was very helpful. The pool was very crowded so we didn't go in it and there was a DJ with music that I really didn't want to hear. All in all an ok experience.
