Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

I would not recommend this hotel pool to a friend. There were no chairs available, extremely loud music, and inappropriate behavior in front of children.

We enjoyed our day room at Hotel Riverwalk. Great view, location, clean spacious room. Nice for a day away! 

Great day! 

While the pool and view were nice, this hotel is struggling. The room was dirty (grease and dirt stains on the walls, odd smell, dirty windows) and didn't include the balcony the booking listed. It was very apparent they were understaffed as everyone who worked there seemed unhappy and it took 20-30 minutes to get an order in at the pool bar. We ended up not really using the room much other than to store our stuff, and we went somewhere else for lunch after seeing the poor condition of the room. That being said, the pool itself was refreshing and the view of the river was gorgeous. If we did go back, we'd only get the day pass rather than the day room.

Gorgeous view of the Riverwalk. Poolside bar with drinks and bar food menu. Full restaurant inside was not open the day that I was there. Pool is a nice size. 
Only cons: had to pay for street parking in downtown and the pool lounge chairs were not very comfortable. They did have couches and high top tables available as well though.

Booking the day room was not only not worth it but a mistake. This hotel is so outdated and it shows. I understand you get what you pay for, however I was not prepared to smell marijuana throughout the elevators and hallways. I observed the smoking in restricted areas, that resulted in areas smelling bad most the day. While at the pool I notice broken chairs, large stains on the pool furniture cushions, and trash. We opted for the day bed to have a place to change before leaving for dinner but had to visit the front desk a number of times because the keys weren't working. 

While at the pool we notice people coming in off the Riverwalk side through a gate thats left open (this is done to draw river walk traffic into the bar by the pool) but no staff is observing, therefore several individuals, families, kids on bikes, etc. entered the pool. So there were paying guest observing others who waltz in for free, occupy pool chairs, while having no where to sit themselves. Thats not ok. 

Outdated Hotel with lots of issues. 

The hotel was truly the place to be in the Tampa Riverwalk. The gate leading towards the Riverwalk bridge/walk trail was a great surprise. The staff was friendly, valet parking was an efficient service as we were able to save time instead of looking for street parking downtown, the dj (which we did not expect to be present) was a fun addition to the on going music, the Cuban sandwich was delicious (we will go back for it from the rivers edge restaurant), the atmosphere family friendly even with the bar beside the swimming pool. All in all, an excellent and practical way to daycation.

had such a great time here theres always a few people around and although i havent tested a weekend yet its been not too crowded.

It was an enjoyable afternoon! food, drinks, view were all wonderful! So was the steel drum player!

This was my very first daycation ever. It was on Mothers day.
I had a wonderful relaxing time by the pool. Got some much needed vitamin d from the sun.
Even though there were kids there it was so quiet that I fell asleep in the pool floating on my back. The food was great the drinks were good. 
The Valet.... questionable. I had my work glasses hanging from my rear view mirror with my work tag to.get into my building. It was on the floor and broken. Haven't went thru to see if anything was.missimg as of yet. Valet need to do better to.take care of peoples.property
