Grand Reserve at The Meritage

I keep coming back to this place 
It is nice 
Unfortunately food options had  changed
 Became  worse and worse, and more expensive 
I used to order  shrimp salad 
It is not offered any more 
Looks like most of the people hide their own food and alcohol since it is not allowed to bring to the pool area
There were a group of people complaining that  $18 /20 for a glass of wine is too pricy In wine country 
I noticed  that people order less drinks and barely any food 
You can get more business and demand if you keep it reasonable and more affordable 


Nice place 

Loved this pool experience. It was super heated and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. You can order food from their website and it will be delivered to your seat. Highly recommend and would return to. 

Amazing pool

I paid a lot of money for absolutely nothing. What we were told we would get didn't happen. No TV, No service, No food, had to ask them to even give us the bubbles we were owed. 

False Advertisting

Pool is pretty and street parking was available. The hot tub had an out of service sign on it during our visit. The poolside service that is listed to start at 11 did not start until 1230 and it took over an hour for our bottle of wine to arrive with a hefty service charge as though it was room service. 

Ok but some details weren't accurate 

We arrived at the location to a spledid lobby ... and it was all downhill after that !! I had called ahead to check on the services offered at the pool - at which point they could have mentioned any problems - but they did NOT.
At reception I was told only the 'family' pool was open and they were conducting  'loud' repairs on the main pool.
We were sent across the street to the secondary Family Pool - so instead of views of the vineyards we were facing the hotel rooms and balconies.
Next - there were NO towels - NO service - NO Jacuzzi (*the heater was broken) and a COLD POOL.  
To top it off - we were surrounded by two families with many children who were playing a 'loud' game of Marco Polo.  It was so disruptive it drowned my i-pod music.  We asked the adults politely if they could manage the volume a bit and maybe keep the kids from eating in the pool ... to which we were scolded that this was a Family Pool !!
Oh, and I am still on HOLD 13 days later to speak to a Customer Srvc. Rep

MERITAGE - WHAT A DISASTER !! 

The cabana was nice and the facility is nice. The hotel is very short staffed so it was very difficult to contact the hotel ahead of time for additional information. I finally reached someone by email the day of arrival. Pool service was ok.

Staycation

As locals to the area who go to this resort many times, we were disappointed by our latest visit. Hot tub was broken and service was extremely slow. 

Underwhelming

This was the worst. No towels, no service, no heat in the pool. Everything was shut off. They are supposed to refund me

Terrible

I recently had the opportunity to rent a cabana at the Grand Reserve Meritage, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived in the morning, the level of service was impeccable. Initially, we noticed only towels in our cabana, but after inquiring, the friendly staff reassured us that everything else would be delivered by our reservation time at 11 am. True to their word, as soon as we checked in at the designated time, they promptly provided us with sparkling wine, sodas, and water, and were attentive in asking if we needed anything additional.

The cabana itself was a beautiful space, perfect for family relaxation. It was noticeable how clean and well-maintained everything was, with ample space to lay down and unwind. An added bonus was the close proximity of the Holiday village, complete with an ice rink and restaurants, located next to one of the pool exits. This was especially enjoyable for the little ones and added to our overall experience.
