Borinquen Thermal Resort

This was a perfect experience for half a day. We arrived at the resort and the staff were friendly and helpful. We started off zip-lining and the tour guides were amazing. Afterwards we had lunch and it was delicious. The hot springs was a relaxing experience. 

Canopy Tour

Unless you are staying at this property, its kind of hard to get there just for a day pass. Youre able to take an Uber in from big cities, but we were stranded for like an hour trying to find someone to pick us back up. Had to take an $80 taxi back to Guanacaste. Pools were amazing! Food was pretty decent too 

Pretty spot but hard to access

If you can brave the roads to get there, consider a part of the adventure, this is a great destination. The employees were lovely. The food was delicious and the Hot Springs were beautiful.

Great Destination

We did horseback riding, zip lining and a hike to the waterfalls.   About a four hour day.   And then relaxed by the pools and hot springs.   The property is beautiful and all of the staff are great!    I highly recommend planning a day here or even staying on the property!

Perfect day of fun and adventure!

Spent a day at the Borniquen Thermal Resort. Roads going there were Scooby-Doo scary with a lot of bumps and stretches of gravel instead of pavement, plan to take longer than google says. Drive is worth it.

Staff from arrival to departure was professional, friendly, and efficient. 

Best horseback ride in a long time. Horses were in good shape and we, all experienced riders, were able to get them to do more than just walk slowly. 

Zip line tour was highlight of our week for the older kids. Food was great, portions substantial. Thermal pools and mud bath were interesting. Pool was relaxing. Only obvious opportunity for improvement would be shade umbrellas at main pool. 

Well worth the trip

After a questionable drive wondering if there was anything at the end we arrived at this magical area. A wonderful welcome with a tasty refreshing beverage was presented as the resort and amenities were explained. Beautiful pools, trails, walkways, snack bars, swim up bar…
Lunch was a dinner with a wonderful menu and exceptional service. The chef came out to check if the meal met expectations. Beautiful restaurant with the option of covered areas or sun seating. Spotless clean with linen napkins and fire cutlery. We were not expecting this at all. 
Individual cottages can be seen in the hills and due to size and heat shuttle service is easily accessible. My mother due to health reasons could not walk from pools to restaurant and was immediately driven.
Seems like a perfect spot for couples who want a private quiet getaway. 
Only suggestion would be umbrellas around the pool. There is absolutely no shade and only one area with 3 loungers in a covered cabana. I stayed in there mostly
