Excellent service in the hotel! We had a lovely family day enjoying the pool and luxury of this beautiful hotel.

The Cabana was nice, a little basic but nice. The pool was very peaceful and the resort was nice. The service was speedy and friendly. I will definitely visit again! 

Peaceful Pool with Great Service 

Pool was awesome

The hotel and property are beautiful, food is great, and staff was friendly and prompt. The only problem was that the pool itself is within 4 walls, so there really isn’t anything nice to look at.

 I had a nice day at the pool, but there isn’t a person that comes around very often to order drinks or food.  I waited about an hour to get a drink.

Had an amazing time by the pool at the Balboa Bay club. Check in was super easy, quick and staff was extreamly friendly!

Great time!

What a waste of $275. I may as well have spent the day at my community pool. I booked a cabana for my birthday and took the day off work. I booked this 2 months ago and was very much looking forward to spending the day here. We arrived, checked in, received an access card, and went outside to a completely desolate pool. I went back in to ask which cabana was ours and the front desk clerk told me they were having a slow day so I could choose any. I "chose" one (which, btw, only has 2 lounge chairs so technically does not accommodate 4 people) and spent some time setting up the towels, etc. The fridge was not plugged in. I went back in to see if we could order some drinks. The clerk told me someone would be out soon. 30 minutes later, nothing. I go back inside to inquire again. Finally after an hour, a man walks out and asked if we wanted to order something. We requested menus. 20 minutes go by and he returns with menus and leaves again. We placed an order for a beverage and food and it arrived 2 hours after arriving. Look. You pay for a cabana for the seating accommodations and the pool-side service. The Balboa Bay Resort failed on both ends. We left quickly after finishing our food and didn't even end up using the cabana space. It was truly a complete waste of $275. I may as well have been at my community pool and I could have Uber Eats a better meal, faster. Don't waste your time.

Balboa bay was great! Check-in was super easy and it was just nice to relax on my day off. I just loved how nice the staff was and how quite the place was. I’ll definitly be back!

Over priced considering the level of service just do a pool pass cabanas aren’t worth it

The resort was lovely, being off season there was not staff at the pool to offer food and drinks. Someone came out about 2 hours after arrival but we already went inside to have lunch (which was fine by us). I actually enjoyed this one the most so far bc I was left alone. It was a nice, quiet day, no music at pool, no kids. Just sunshine, cocktails and good friends. Highly recommend! The ballet situation is PERFECT & all staff were extremely helpful and courtesiois.
