“I spent 2 days at Secrets and had an excellent experience both days. Plenty of Sun loungers around the pools. Plentiful access to good food and drinks. It was great to also be able to use the beach and their loungers and umbrellas are available on the beach too. Secrets and Dreams are on a shared site, with front doors right next to one another and I was told I could use the facilities at both. But I didn’t need to, the adult-only vibe at Secrets was a good fit for me. Good security in and out of the resort gate for taxis and Ubers. The concierge takes your ID and holds it until the 5 pm checkout time.
Overall excellent value for money for a lazy day around the pool.”

“This hotel happens to be a short walk away from the cruise terminal. We visited during the 8 hours our cruise ship docked in Puerto Vallarta. Check-in was straightforward. We picked up wristbands from the concierge desk. They kept my ID as collateral. I got my ID back once I returned the wristbands on my way out.
The food was decent. There was a cart serving burgers and hot dogs in between buffet hours. The poolside buffet served standard Mexican fare. I really enjoyed the fish ceviche and the lobster paella. As other reviews have pointed out, the drinks here are delicious but light on alcohol. I consumed 3 cocktails in 1 hour and still felt normal. Not a hint of dizziness. Which was fine because I still had to walk back to the cruise ship.
The pool and the waterslides were tons of fun. I love that they have party games in the pool, which was fun to watch even if I didn’t participate. The staff dance to the music poolside, which adds to the party atmosphere.”

“The resort is just as pictured and very nice. The gorgeous lobby area and the pool/beach are fantastic! Their lunch space by the pool (Castaways) served exceptional food in a beautiful setting. In addition, if you sign up for the evening pass, their French restaurant was fantastic!! They do not take reservations and all venues appeared to be first come, first served.”

“Beautiful resort! This was a great option for us as we’ve been to Puerto Vallarta before and just wanted a relaxing resort day! We reserved a Poolside day bed, which included towel service and an 800 pesos food & beverage credit (~ $40). Our private day bed was a welcome comfort versus a standard lounge chair. We enjoyed the large pool and swim-up bar. Lunch in the open-air Nosh Sunset Bar was delightful. The beach was nice and not too many vendors.
A short taxi ride from the cruise port. Paid $20 for 2 passengers to get there and only $10 to get back.
We would definitely come back on a future cruise stop!!”

“We had a wonderful time spending the day lounging in the pool at the Westin. Check-in for the Day Pass was quick and easy. We were given a guest number, so we could spend our $25 food and drink credits, and were able to leave a credit card in case we wanted to really splurge on additional food and drinks. The prices were very reasonable, so it was easy not to go over the credits. The pool is amazing and has a well-stocked swim-up bar. The friendly staff will come to your loungers to take and deliver your order. The pool area has lots of shade and sun, so you can enjoy both. The grounds were lush with vegetation, which served as a lounging area for several iguanas. If brave enough, you can even hand feed the iguanas fruit slices from the bar, so long as you avoid giving them rinds that are difficult to digest. We did not spend any time at the beach, but we did take a look. The water was calm and you could enjoy jet skis (for a fee) and other non-motorized watercraft.”
