Wayfarer Cabana

This was my second visit to the Epicurean. We loved it last year, so this year’s experience was especially disappointing. The pool is still top-tier, but the food quality has declined significantly. The chips had an odd texture, the shrimp ceviche tasted fishy, and the meatball dish was not enjoyable. Compared with our previous visit, the food was simply not good. That made the $250 cabana food-and-beverage minimum particularly frustrating. It was difficult to meet when we didn’t enjoy the food, and the cabana already included a bottle of champagne. Requiring another $250 in food and alcohol—especially on a weekday when most of the cabanas were empty—felt excessive and more like a money grab than a reasonable minimum. Unfortunately, I would not return. That’s a shame because the pool itself is one of the best, but the disappointing food and unreasonable weekday minimum outweighed everything we enjoyed about the setting.

My birthday visit was very nice even after our time was up they let us stay longer however before I made the booking, I asked about the $250 food and drink minimum. They said I had to do it when the resort I said didn’t have to do it so I felt cornered into paying that however valet was supposed to be $35. I had two cars they charged me $55 each. I feel like that was a real rip off when I could’ve parked the car myself I did not feel that I had options and really was not explained to me.

We had an incredible day. Maya and her team took such great care of us. The band, lead by Ethel, was so wonderful and created the perfect vibe. This is one of the top summer spots in Atlanta and worth the money.

Good deal for only $75 which included a drink and snack probably worth $40. We went on a weekday so it was pretty quiet and kid friendly.
