Day Pass

Overall, we had a really nice day and felt the day pass was reasonably priced. The food was lovely—the café does a great job—and the pool area was quiet and secluded. There was only one other couple there during our visit, which made for a very relaxing experience. That said, the pool is quite small, so I imagine it could feel crowded with more guests. The biggest downside was the bathroom setup. The only restrooms are located inside the café, and we were asked to put on additional clothing before walking through to use them. Since we were there specifically for a pool day, we had only brought cover-ups, and both mine and my friends' had some open-knit detailing that showed skin. We hadn’t brought a change of clothes, so this made using the restroom unnecessarily inconvenient. The staff member who spoke with us was kind and polite about it, but the interaction still felt a bit uncomfortable. She seemed quite nervous about us walking through the café in our cover-ups, and that energy took away somewhat from the relaxed atmosphere we had come for. It seems like an odd setup for a property offering pool day passes, especially if guests are expected to bring additional clothing simply to access the restroom. We enjoyed our time overall, but unfortunately this would probably keep me from booking another day pass here.

Day Pass

We had such a great experience at The Wayback. We felt like we had our own little private resort area. The pool is small but clean and peaceful. The restaurant is so good. They offer poolside service, so we could relax and order without ever leaving the pool area. The food is fresh, farm-to-table, and genuinely delicious—not your typical pool food at all. The ice cream was great too, and the Splish Splash mocktail with the tiny rubber ducky was an absolute hit! Such a hidden gem and the perfect little Austin escape without actually leaving town.

Day Pass

Spent a lovely few hours hanging out in the pool at The Wayback. We had attentive service and the drinks and food were delicious. The pool is small and definitely more for hanging out than swimming. My friend and I were there to hang out so it was perfect.

Day Pass

Food and staff were great. I had a very nice lunch. There is some road noise and the music is played fairly loudly I think to cover it. The pool is little but in a pretty setting. The bathroom is in the restaurant a short walk from the pool.

Day Pass

A rainy pool day may not sound the best but at the Wayback they’re quite dreamy at making the vibes high no matter what. Smoked salmon tacos, endless spicy watermelon margs, and the kindest staff. Run it back all summer, please.

Day Pass

From the moment we arrived, Kate greeted us with a warm welcome. I appreciated the attentiveness and care we were provided. The pool was smaller than I expected, however, for our party of 3 adults and 2 children, it was the perfect size! We lucked out that we got the pool all to ourselves during our visit. The person that cleaned the pool didn't do a thorough job, so I cleaned it up myself. Meals at the cafe were delicious. I was however disappointed to purchase from resort pass in advance, only to find out that the price of my visit was cut in half (from $200 to $100 total) had I purchased it the day before. For the time allotted, 10-3, $40 per person seemed steep. Had I purchased it a day before, it would have been only $20 per person, which seems a lot more reasonable. I share this with others because if you are more flexible with your date of visit, you may want to hold off on purchasing in advance since the hotel can change the daily rate.

Day Pass

Amazing experience! I was the perfect day retreat. My only comment is the hours in person were different than the hours online (cafe did not open until 11) so I showed up right before 10 and the left and came back.
