Day Pass

Excellent pool day! Check-in at the front desk was professional, courteous and issue free. Plenty of comfortable loungers available with thick cushions and plenty of towels and shade umbrellas. The pool and pool deck were very clean. The cold plunge box was something I didn’t expect and wasn’t appealing to myself but I did see one other visitor enjoyed using it. The jacuzzi was very warm and a generous size and the pool is a good size and not too deep at about four and a half feet. A couple of ring floats were provided and a nice touch for both adults and kiddos. The pool was quite cool and refreshing on a super hot day, but I am not sure I would have liked the temperature on a cooler day. The pools edge is a bit uncomfortable with a pokey, rough raised detail so this isn’t ideal but it must have some needed purpose to corral water or something. The poolside food service is relaxed and laid back so I wasn’t visited by a server and had to walk over to the bar to order, but it is only steps away from the pool. The bar tables are sheltered from the pool by a row of covered tables and landscaping so it is a quiet calm atmosphere on a weekday. The menu is very good with healthy and beautifully prepared options but be prepared for sticker shock as it is hotel pricing. I enjoyed both the Avocado Toast and later a Garden Salad which were very fresh and had good portion size. The food and drink do make it an expensive day out though. I didn’t experience the parking as I live in town and walked over. The WiFi was great and I was able to get some work done on my laptop. There are covered tables if you would prefer over a lounge chair. I took advantage of both. The pool area is on the smaller side but they do fit everything necessary in. There are a few cabanas but they do not have loungers or day beds in them and have only sofa style seating with tables. They do not have TVs or mini fridges as some larger hotels have. Near the end of the day a group of men used the sofas for stretching out and napping and they looked comfortable. There is a nice restroom just a few steps away from the pool area. The decks of the hotel rooms near the pool area are sheltered with glass and do not open onto the pool which is great privacy on both sides. The pool is on a busy street but the noise is minimal with glass surrounding, but I would not say that it is a serene vibe, but it is relaxing. My goal for the day was to work on my tan, cool off in the pool, have healthy food and drinks and get a bit of work done and so the Shore Hotel did check all of those boxes for me. I would definitely recommend you give it a try! Thanks Resort Pass and the Shore Hotel for a wonderful day!
