Pool Day Pass

The setting is why you come here but there are only about 4 lounge chairs that get you a partial view of the ocean- all others around the pool and you could be anywhere. The pool is tiny. The lounge chairs are too close together. Water is not automatically provided. Snack was a single sip of a watery smoothie served in a Dixie cup. Menu for food is limited and just average. It was a bit of a comedown compared to rosewood in Menlo Park where the lounge chairs are huge and spaced apart. You are given a leather bound metal water bottle that keeps the water ice cold for the day, fluffy towels, your own sunscreen and magazines. You are constantly supplied with free snacks-along with a menu of delicious food. The pool is huge full lap length salt water. Rosewood makes you feel like luxury where La Bahia was like a regular hotel although I know it’s probably the nicest in Santa Cruz. I appreciated being able to go for the day but I would only do it again if I could snag the loungers at the view point- at least you could see the water and they are more isolated from everyone else. Overall I think La Bahia could up there game.

Pool Daybed

What a wonderful find! My friend and I booked a daybed at La Bahia for a relaxing Labor Day by the ocean, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful, the ocean view is spectacular, and the daybed was the perfect place to relax, read and enjoy some much-needed downtime. What really made the day special, though, was the hospitality. Throughout the day we were offered ice water, lavender-scented cold towels, frozen grapes and even smoothie samples. Those thoughtful little touches made us feel genuinely cared for and turned a simple pool day into a true resort experience. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. ResortPass has been a great way for me to discover local getaways, and La Bahia is definitely one I would book again. It felt like a mini vacation without ever having to leave the Bay Area. Highly recommend!

Plunge Cabana

All of the poolside staff were very attentive and went above and beyond to provide “extras” to the guests such as chilled lavender towels, smoothie samples, frozen grapes, etc. we will definitely return. Would love to see the quality and pace of the food service improve, however that didn’t change our 5-star review because everything else was above and beyond!

Spa Pass + Pool Day Pass

What a gorgeous resort! We had a great day- drinks were tasty, food delicious, and the staff was amazing. We arrive around 12 and left around 5, mainly because the pool became insanely busy with kids in the 2-8 range (post nap, post day out)? Lots of splashing which really changed the more quiet vibe of the day. Towels were fresh. We had to move umbrellas around and the staff seemed hesitant to do so - so we just moved them.

Pool Daybed

We reserved a day bed for the day and it was wonderful. Such a beautiful place with beautiful views. Richard is super nice and took great care of us! Andrew is also really nice and a great bartender. We had a great dinner in the low tide bar and then went up to the roof to sit by a fire and look out at the ocean. All around great experience!
