Pool Pass

The daycation at Goodstone pool was wonderful. The drive through the beautiful countryside on the way to the property is a bonus and sets the tone for the experience to come. When I arrived to check in, I was met with a warm welcome. The pool was refreshing and the views unbeatable. This made for a great solo daytrip, and a nice way to check out the property. I am now considering booking an overnight to enjoy the peace and other amenities the property has to offer.

Overall, a really pleasant experience. Great setting, a short, beautiful drive from DC. The pool feels like you've stepped into a hidden Mediterranean gem. Plus, there's a hot tub, corn hole, shuffleboard, and even a poolside bartender. . .

Pool Pass

Lovely experience. The pool setting is serene. Think luxe but outdoorsy. While a pool pass doesn’t guarantee you a chaise lounge, they had enough seating for everyone to have one even on a holiday and had much additional table + chairs seating, too. There is a bar next to the pool for food service and the food and cocktails were great. One note: there were confusing emails from ResortPass that suggested you’d have a room during the day. That is not included but you do have access to the property (which has hiking trails, other seating areas with fire pits, etc. ) and a changing room with a shower near the pool.

Pool Pass

This is a beautiful, intimate property with well maintained grounds and a profusion of flowers. The staff is very professional and accommodating. The pool area is beautiful with a bar and a wisteria covered pergola. The photo is misleading because the trees have grown much larger and shade most of the pool area in the afternoon. This is both a positive and a negative, so, perhaps some of the limbs could be trimmed back. The pool is lovely, but there was a cleaning contraption placed in the pool with a blue tube spanning the whole pool making swimming very uncomfortable. All of the loungers were taken when we arrived and some people inconsiderately took up extra loungers to place their pool bags and seemed unconcerned that we had no lounger. I didn't feel comfortable asking a staff member to intervene. The hot tub was out of order, so we couldn't enjoy that. The bar closed at 3:30 and there was a wedding at 5:30. The staff was very polite about allowing us to stay until 5, but with so much set up and staff activity at the pool, it was a much less relaxing experience. Granted, we were there on a holiday weekend. I will give this property another chance on a mid-week day and hope that the issues will be resolved. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Goodstone.
