The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa

The hotel was easy to find but parking was a bit confusing. However, there was complimentary valet parking so that issue took care of itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I may have lucked out on the day and time of day I went. I had the pool and jacuzzi to myself most of my visit. Ordering from the app way easy and because there was no crowd, there was barely a wait to receive what I ordered. Although I purchased the spa day pass, I was not able to use any of the amenities that came with it. Resortpass has not updated its site with the correct hours. 

A day-cation to remember 

The high quality salt water pools are magnificent. The jets are strong in the hot tub which is massive and very clean. The pool side seats and umbrellas are ample and well placed for shade and leisure.

Great Pools!

Spa was wonderful, though no conditioner in my shower. restaurant Twenty 20 delivered food & drinks poolside easily with the QR code & online ordering. Few people on a summer Tuesday am., more arrived late afternoon. Plenty of seating in the am. Lots of small plane noise, close to Palomar airport.

Relaxing weekday staycation

The hotel and spa was nice and staff was friendly. Could have better options for food by pool. No private pool area for the spa and its a kid friendly pool.

Everything about the visit to the resort was 5 star!  Looking forward to doing this again!

Fabulous Afternoon

We came for the Fourth of July and we were very disappointed. There was not enough lounge chairs. They were in poor condition. The girls in the spa, although very sweet were  not able to help in any sort of way. They contacted maintenance, but maintenance never showed up. Other people tried to get help regarding more lounge chairs, but nobody ever showed up . the restaurant that was supposed to be open out by the pool never opened . Called ResortPass, but was unable to get any help from them, nor have they followed up with my complaint. This is my first experience using them, and I was not impressed.

Disappointing

Great pool and not too crowded.  The jacuzzi is big too, which is nice.  There is a lot of open space.  It seemed like a lot of the chairs were broken and it was difficult to order food and drinks.  But, overall it was a nice, relaxing time.

Relaxing atmosphere

Not worth the cost. Many of the chairs around the pool were broken and you could not lay on them. When I checked in I was not given access to the work out room or map of the hotel. Also the spa and restaurants are closed on Monday. 

Not Maintained 

My wife and I booked a resort pass after looking at the photos & it was the biggest "bait & switch". Every pool chair was broken to the point that you could not even sit. The fabric on every seat were ripped to the point that in some cases you would probably fall right through the chair. 

Biggest Waste of an afternoon

We looked at the menu to be served from the QR code and it was only breakfast at 11:30 so we got up and walk to the restaurant and ordered from there. It took literally 45 minutes to get our breakfast and we got it to go and bring back down to the pool. If we had ordered on the QR code, it was a 24% delivery charge +7% tax on the order. Thatscharge +7% tax on the order. Thats ridiculous. Attempted to order a blended margarita in the bar doesntAttempted to order a blended margarita in the bar. Doesnt have a blender. WonWont be returning.
