The ultimate luxury experience awaits at Saint Martin Beach Hotel, tucked away in Anse Marcel Bay. While the staff were very nice the property is not up to secrets standards.  Food was average. Beach not as nice as some others in the area. Go on a nice sailing day tryp instead. 

Not worth it!

First of all, I'm glad that we came with our drivers licenses because that was never told to us prior to making a reservation that we would need it. They asked that we leave it at the front desk and that we could pick it up once we were done for the day. I would've been very upset if I would have come all the way there, which was across the island and not had my drivers license with me. The check-in desk staff was probably the least friendly of all the staff at the resort. Which, unfortunately, is disappointing since they are the first encounter you have with the staff at the resort. I will say that the pool staff was wonderful especially the bartender and the pool caf.The check-in desk staff was probably the least friendly of all the staff at the resort. Disappointing 

What we liked...beautiful beach with soft, sandy bottom and calm water. The resort landscaping was very nice.

Why we gave this 2/5 stars and won't go back...

The pool was poorly maintained. Near the infinity wall there was some kind of rubber seal that ran the entire length of the pool and at least 20 feet of it had come loose and was hanging down the wall and on the bottom of the pool.

There was no food or drink service at the beach, and depending on where your chairs are, it can be a long walk every time you need a new drink.

For the all-inclusive lunch, we were directed to the Barefoot Grill where we could choose from either a cheeseburger or hamburger. At other beach options on the French side, you can choose from fish, sushi, etc.

Lastly, we come to the French side of St. Martin every few years and we come for the European vibe. At least on the day we went, the guests were 90% or more from the US, and this particular crowd was just very loud and obnoxious.

Not worth the price

Pictures & website are way better than the actual resort. Pretty, but definitely not “upscale” as led to believe. Beach area smelled like rotten eggs, hot tub empty with over grown grass around it, pool concrete on bottom of pool needed repairs. Food was okay, but burgers or buffet food- not upscale whatsoever! Expensive for what you get & if you’re cruising, you’re going to pay $50 each way for a taxi!! Check in process was slow and woman needed me to email booking documents to her & with poor internet it took a while. She should be able to look up reservation with booking number or name and not need to waste 20 min emailing and filling out documents. 

Disappointing! Not Worth the money 

Overall, nice resort and good food and drinks. Getting there from the cruise port is a bumpy ride to the French side. 

Nice beach and restaurant 

My family of 7 came to the island on a cruise ship and spent the day at this resort. It was a welcome change from the crowded boat. It was a 25 minute ride from the port. It was everyone’s favorite day of the whole trip. Friendly staff and the food was delicious. 

Nice campus, peaceful atmosphere. 

I will consider their resorts for future trips!!!
