Austin Southpark Hotel

Extremely clean pool. They provide pool towels.  Plenty of lounge chairs.  It is noisy due to the highway traffic.

Clean and Friendly

I would give a much higher rating if the pool lift worked. My daughter uses a wheelchair, we are nearly dependent on the pool lifts for her to enjoy the pool like everyone else. It wasn't working, staff did try, we made do. Otherwise it's a nice pool: large and cool, there is no hot tub, but the sauna is very nice. We could not hear the traffic from the highway at all. Jesse the bartender was phenomenal. 

Nice Set Up

We went here for my birthday. We chose this specific place as it as meant to have a hot tub and pool service. You could get dressed to enter hotel to get food and drinks but no service. Also no hot tub. I was disappointed.

No hot tub or food/drink as advertised 

The pool was fine, the sauna was fine, but everything else was pretty underwhelming. The hot tub was actually filled with cement. The indoor portion of the pool was so small it basically was unusable. And although the outdoor pool was good sized and pretty nice, the interstate was right next to it so all you heard was traffic the whole time.

Pictures were not accurate, there was no hot tub! Sauna was also disappointing, it was barely heated. The pool itself was okay, and the staff at the hotel was friendly (although they had not heard of Resort Pass and kind of just shrugged us in). Prepare for road noise as two major highways are nearby. 
Twenty dollars a person seemed reasonable, but it was not worth it for this place. 

Would not go again.

Staff was friendly. But pool was not clean and hottub is closed for good. Showers did not work and I hope they fix that. 

Unfortunately a bit disappointing

Outdoor pool looks like the pictures. Indoor pool however was full of leaves and bugs that apparently get funneled in from the outside pool and never cleaned. Hot tub pictured doesn't exist. Just a concrete slab in its place. They need to remove that pic as it amounts to false advertising. Birds get into the indoor pool room via the pool connection gap, then get stuck inside and fly into the windows, hard, hurting themselves and sometimes falling in the water. Staff that walks by ignore the mess in the pool and the birds hitting the windows as if its just normal to them. The heating is not good enough for cooler Oct temps in Austin. Heated jets seem to only go on in small 30 second bursts every 5 - 10 min. Kid was shivering. Check in is required at the front desk to get a keycard, which takes an hour as they only have 2 people working check in at this massive hotel, so the line is long. Those working inside were friendly though.

Weeeeell, the pool seemed clean enough but there was a plunger for a syringe in the bathroom/locker room in one of the lockers & the stalls were decidedly not clean - broken toilet seat in one & pile of paper on side of toilet in another. I did have to request a swipe key for the bathroom so if you want to access that, do ask for it when you check in at the desk. There were 2 different musics playing on either side of the pool & that felt chaotic, especially when you add in the noise from I-35. I was there to swim around and try to relax but it just wasn't relaxing, especially when 10 kids piled in around me - I think if you want to go with a group of friends & party, it's better for that than for relaxation. Even floating around on my back with my ears under the water I could still hear the music(s) which were all of the dance variety, which is fine if you're having drinks & a party but it's definitely not relaxing. Will not return.

It's a No from Me

Decent day pass for the price. The pool area is a bit run down and not well maintained but the staff was very friendly and helpful.
