Life is good at the Austin Southpark Hotel, a centrally located hotel in the heart of Texas. Go ahead and spend your day floating between the connected outdoor and indoor heated pools. When it’s really time to relax, go for a soak in the indoor hot tub. Cabanas are available on a first come, first serve basis, so we recommend you get there early and make a day of it. Cheers to that.

Austin Southpark Hotel

The pool was fine, the sauna was fine, but everything else was pretty underwhelming. The hot tub was actually filled with cement. The indoor portion of the pool was so small it basically was unusable. And although the outdoor pool was good sized and pretty nice, the interstate was right next to it so all you heard was traffic the whole time.

Pictures were not accurate, there was no hot tub! Sauna was also disappointing, it was barely heated. The pool itself was okay, and the staff at the hotel was friendly (although they had not heard of Resort Pass and kind of just shrugged us in). Prepare for road noise as two major highways are nearby. 
Twenty dollars a person seemed reasonable, but it was not worth it for this place. 

Would not go again.

Staff was friendly. But pool was not clean and hottub is closed for good. Showers did not work and I hope they fix that. 

Unfortunately a bit disappointing

Outdoor pool looks like the pictures. Indoor pool however was full of leaves and bugs that apparently get funneled in from the outside pool and never cleaned. Hot tub pictured doesn't exist. Just a concrete slab in its place. They need to remove that pic as it amounts to false advertising. Birds get into the indoor pool room via the pool connection gap, then get stuck inside and fly into the windows, hard, hurting themselves and sometimes falling in the water. Staff that walks by ignore the mess in the pool and the birds hitting the windows as if its just normal to them. The heating is not good enough for cooler Oct temps in Austin. Heated jets seem to only go on in small 30 second bursts every 5 - 10 min. Kid was shivering. Check in is required at the front desk to get a keycard, which takes an hour as they only have 2 people working check in at this massive hotel, so the line is long. Those working inside were friendly though.

Weeeeell, the pool seemed clean enough but there was a plunger for a syringe in the bathroom/locker room in one of the lockers & the stalls were decidedly not clean - broken toilet seat in one & pile of paper on side of toilet in another. I did have to request a swipe key for the bathroom so if you want to access that, do ask for it when you check in at the desk. There were 2 different musics playing on either side of the pool & that felt chaotic, especially when you add in the noise from I-35. I was there to swim around and try to relax but it just wasn't relaxing, especially when 10 kids piled in around me - I think if you want to go with a group of friends & party, it's better for that than for relaxation. Even floating around on my back with my ears under the water I could still hear the music(s) which were all of the dance variety, which is fine if you're having drinks & a party but it's definitely not relaxing. Will not return.

Decent day pass for the price. The pool area is a bit run down and not well maintained but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great staff!

Pool was great experience very nice very few other people that one got in for a very short period of time. Only thing was hot ton was completely closed. Boarded over. Restrooms smelt like they had a bad sewage problem. Toilet did work though. No soap and very dark in restroom. Bad smell even in indoor pool area.   

Nice large clean pool

I had a perfect day. The water was refreshing, the pool is one of the largest Ive been to, and the price is great. Its just hard to relax when you hear the traffic from i35. This chaos cant be avoided, just know this before you go. 

Large pool

The pool area was just ok & served the purpose. Clearly an older place as there were parts of the pool that needed to be refinished. The cleanliness wasn't the greatest. There was green algae on the tile of the pool walls. The women's locker room definitely needed attention. Only one working stall and there was no toilet paper. There were 2 boxes of Kleenex on the floor instead. Floors in the bathroom looked disgusting. Definitely had not been swept or mopped in quite some time. No soap to wash your hands. I went to the lobby and asked for toilet paper. The girl handed me a roll & I had to walk across the pool area holding a roll of toilet paper to put in the restroom myself I stead of them calling housekeeping to maybe check the area to clean & replenish items. So, will not be returning & don't recommend this place.

Ok for the price 

GOOD: the pool was nice and had 2 areas separated by a bridge. There are shady deck areas due to some oak trees which was essential for the hot weather. The staff were pleasant.
BAD: The shower was broken, when we arrived there were zero towels available, there was no soap in the only bathroom, and the lockers for belongings didn't work. 
THE UGLY: Both available toilets were out of order. One was overflowing with sewage.
