Hotel Viata

I got a Spa Pass and my biggest regret is not getting there earlier in the day. Hardly anyone else was there on a weekday afternoon, either in the spa or at the pool. There are a few things that keep it from being a full five stars, but nothing that largely detracts from the access to or enjoyment of the amenities.

As some other people noted, there's no bar staff at the pool and no way that I could find to order any food or drinks without going down to the main bar on the ground floor. The kind staffer who showed me around said I could order online but didn't say exactly how and I never figured it out.

I wouldn't want to be there on a busy day (signage said spa capacity is 22 and even that feels like it would be too crowded) but as long as it was quiet it was wonderful. 

Lovely spot for a relaxing day

This was such an unbelievable afternoon!   Everything about this afternoon was exceptional!  The pool, atmosphere, staff, food and beverages exceeded our expectations!  

Paradise!

My husband and I went here for a staycation and it was wonderful. Lots of lounge chairs and plenty of umbrellas and its a nice, relaxing vibe. Pool water was refreshing, especially given all the 100 plus degree days we've had. The folks at the bar are really friendly and helpful and I love their fish tacos!!

Beautiful setting. I felt like I was on vacation even though I was only minutes from home. Love the hill country setting and vibe.

We had the best daycation and enjoyed the pool and cabana. The staff was amazing, the pool was beautiful and we will definitely return to stay in the hotel.

Wonderful experience overall. Staff was friendly and facilities were well maintained.

Pool was dirty and green. There was also a snake in the pool. Pool bar was open 20 mins late. Long wait. Would not return. Pics on social media arent the same. 

Very Disappointed

Hotel Viata was relaxing for my husband and I! There was only one family around the pool so it made it quiet for the rest of the couples there. Weve used resort pass in the past and the pools were over crowded, small, and full of kids. Hotel Viata was not this way and we would definitely go back!

Low Key and Relaxing

Good loaction and Staff very professional 

This was my first time using RESORTPASS.  Wanted to have a pool day with the family, with cabana and all to be able to survive the Texas sun.  Was looking forward to ordering drinks and food through the day and just relaxing.  Upon arriving, the person working the front desk gave us directions to the pool, saying somebody up there would get us our cabana.  After hunting for the pool, we found nobody there, and cabanas roped off.  We helped ourselves to one, which seemed already used with open drinks in the refrigerator.  There was no service, and TV did not work. For drinks, we had to towel up and head to the bar in the lobby, and wait for somebody to show up. Drink prices were extreme. The kids did have fun cooling off in the pool, but other folks we met had similar complaints on the lack of service.  Oh and there were so many bees, which might explain why nobody was manning the pool bar.  Not worth $300, next time I'll just help myself to the cabana and bring my own drinks for free.
