Hampton Inn Fort Walton Beach 

Definitely not a good experience. It took us over 30 min to get checked in. The lady behind the desk didn't know how to help us. Told us multiple times they didn't have a room. Our reservation was never confirmed and the chairs was not even reserved. All and all one of the worst experiences I've had. Everyone was pleasant to deal with but no one knew what was going on. I wasn't impressed with the hotel, or the pool.

We purchased the Resort Pass for Hampton Inn Ft Walton Beach.  The pool is very small with very little shade (only one umbrella). and since there were already people there in such a small area, we didn't use the pool . I paid extra for the beach chairs/umbrella, but the guys on the beach that set them up didn't know anything about Resort Pass, and the front desk said they didn't have vouchers to give us.  With some working with the manager (Denise?) & her calling the umbrella/chair place, they agreed to let us use the beach chairs/umbrella.  She printed my reservation through Resort Pass that clearly showed where I had paid for the chairs/umbrella (she didn't dispute that).  Resort Pass needs to somehow work out with Hampton Inn Ft Walton about guests reserving the chairs/umbrella.  It was frustrating having to walk several times from the beach back to the front desk to get it straightened out.  The staff at the hotel was pleasant but didn't seem to be that familiar with Resort Pass.

Close to the beach and a couple of restaurants. The hotel is nice and clean. If you are getting a room while daycationing call the hotel to confirm when can they give you access. You also need to $10 pay for parking 

Great daycation!

Loved it! My husband and I went for a day date. The pool is small but we prefer the beach anyway. Close access to the beach. Great pizza place across the street. Didn't need our car for anything, just walked everywhere.
