DoubleTree by Hilton Alana - Waikiki Beach

The staff here was amazing. Got us checked in quickly. Valet service is really ideal not having to park in your own. Pool was very very cold. Unfortunately the sun was blocked by the other buildings but it still was nice. Towels readily available and lots of room to relax. Had a great time catching up just wish the weather was a little more accommodating. Definitely will try again another time. 

Friendly Staff

Pros: COOKIES! Nice clean gym with a Peleton bike.  Quiet Pool and was able to swim a bit and mostly quiet deck.

Cons: Pool is fully shaded (but was NOT cold), no one comes around so other guests smoked, drank, acted poorly and cigarette butts and trash left around,  shower available only outside by Pool.  

 I was there from 1-6pm and only when I told a manager it was dirty did towels get taken or cigarettes cleaned up. It has no smoking signs everywhere to no avail.  Also women's bathroom had no loo roll all day even after I mentioned it. Overall great value and if it weren't for lack of staff walking about to tidy and remind people not to smoke it might have been 5 star. 

Great value for what you get! 

Went there to use the fitness center. Greeted by nice hotelier and a cookie gift. Nice touch. Walked into the fitness center. Water dispenser was broken, medicine balls were sticky to touch, bosu ball is so flat. Can it be more deflated? But the Peloton bike were cool. Mirrors all around bench press area which is plus for correcting oneself. Pool looks very small and no hot tub. The downstairs Heath food store looked like they had some extensive menu to choose from but it was closed because it was after 2. Maybe worth to go back to try.

Great Location

My family and I enjoyed the pool. Everything was simple from check in to check out. Complimentary self parking. The only reason why it didn’t get 5 stars because the pool was cold, definitely not heated. We didn’t mind as long as the sun was high and shining but the sun started moving it became colder. But other than that it was a great experience.

Great daycation

Cheapest day pass we found in Waikiki where you didn't have to be a guest at the hotel ($30/each). The other Hilton in Waikiki didn't even have this as an option. Pool was definitely not heated and quite cold but it was clean. Lounge chairs were nice. Sun stopped hitting the pool mid afternoon but you can move over to the lounge chairs to stay in the sun longer. Free towels and wifi included. Bathrooms were clean. Only "shower" was outside by the pool to get the pool water off you. Service at the hotel was great with everyone we encountered. Bell man held onto our luggage so we could leave the hotel for lunch and come back later.

Great option

It was a nice little pool, towels were indoors, and the hours were cut short. Still relaxing though 

Nice pool

Did a staycation to catch a plane. Nowhere to change or shower off. The Bell man was very welcoming and helpful. Pool was very nice.

Not fantastic but nice enough!

We had a great day at the pool.  The pool does get shaded as the day goes on (around 2pm) but since we arrived early, we were able to enjoy the sunshine for a while.  Parking was easy and the cookies were delicious.  Pool was on the smaller side and a little deep for my kids (deepest part of 6ft I believe).  Overall a good experience. 

Great morning

This hotel had convenient parking, a nice pool, and a nice fitness center. There was easy access to towels and restrooms indoors. Later in the afternoon, the pool had a lot of shade from the building but it was nice and sunny in the morning. We had a great time!

Nice Pool

Double Tree Alana by Hilton., older hotel but clean.
Big beautiful cleam pool area. I basically had the entire pool deck and pool to myself.
Loved it!!
