Price  said in Canadian dollars but my credit card was charged in USD 

We booked day of so we were unable to cancel. Workers were rude. Very bad experience 

Wrong price 

My boyfriend and I went there for a day pass as we were staying close by in a vacation rental- loved their access to beach and the adults only section had a nice pool. 
We in total had about 20 glasses of drinks starting at 10:30am. Till 6pm when it was time to go out there was no alcohol in my system- was wondering if we even had any alcohol in those drinks.  

Food- buffet were packed atleast 20 min at the omelette station and food for lunch at the adults only tasted just like out of Costco cans.  

Bring your own drinks if you looking to come ! 

Perfect beach and pool- but no potent drinks 

We are staying at a vacation rental 8km from the resort, and our family of four enjoyed our resort day at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal. We got there at 8:50 am got checked in, found poolside chairs with an umbrella, and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast. It was a beautiful day and our kids enjoyed the resort activities.

A fantastic day!

First of all check-in took about 45 minutes because the person had no idea what was going on. Then the bartenders are extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked where the restaurant was and they told me they didnt know.First of all check-in took about 45 minutes because the person had no idea what was going on. I asked where the restaurant was and they told me they didnt know the restaurant staff was nice and very attentive to the tables too many kids bathrooms were very dirty not a good experience

Basic at best 

Spend the day, chose Akumal as have stayed a few times, recent renovations were nice with snack bar and food being better and sports bar as well, we got chairs by the beach and pool by volleyball court  .buffet breakfast was good and renovation was nice . Only complaint was finding baileys fir coffee and spiced rum overall a great day 

Great Day at Akumal

It took us more than 30 min to check with 3 children5 and under getting crabby.  The clerk did not knowwkat to do to use time efficiently. Then, we get out to the pool Nand discover that we need to stand Iin the check in line again to get towel cards to get our towels in a third location. Food was OK and plentiful once we found the only restaurant open to us.

Check in a hassle and poorly organized

The resort is beautiful. It has an adult only section to which my guest and I enjoyed. The service was very nice and accommodating. I felt like I belonged to the resort and not just a visitor. 

Absolutely breathtaking 

The service was great. We arrived at 11am and it took 20-30 mins to check in and another hour to find beach chairs. The beach was very crowded so we stayed mostly at the adult pool. The drink service was quick and the staff was very friendly. The good at the main restaurant was phenomenal. It was definitely worth going. Highly recommend!

Huge resort, great service, amazing food 

Awful food and terrible service. Will never go back.
