Hyde Beach House is always my first pick when I use Resort Pass. Had an amazing time and the sun was shining. Service always is always great, no complaints.

This place was decent but a few things that are important to know. You only get access to one pool on the 6th floor. The electronic locks on the lockers in the bathrooms do not work, so you would be leaving your stuff there at your own risk. No poolside service as you have to go up to the bar and order, but they do bring your food over to you. My boyfriend and I order 2 burgers and 2 drinks, came out to $100 since they automatically add gratuity, however I can say the burgers were juicy and delicious, the portion was generous and the drinks were strong and yummy as well. Lots of lounge seating area, including beds. There’s also a separate area that has an oversized chessboard and a projector screen where they show movies on Saturday evenings. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there were more children in the pool than adults. Lots of splashing and screaming as kids usually do. Pool water was a little murky. I would say this is a better pool day for families.

The first hour was okay! The jacuzzi was enjoyable. However, the computer was down in the bar and the bartender John was a bit rude. Then it rained, so there wasn’t much to do. When the sun came out they decided to treat the pool with chemicals, keeping it closed.

Pool Cabana

The photos are misleading as it’s a very small area. Limited food options and no service. They have missed a trick on generating more sales by offering service.

Pool Cabana

Overall, it was an okay experience, but there were several things that kept it from being a great resort day. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. We were told that the property has recently taken over the neighboring DoubleTree hotel and has been focusing its renovation efforts there, so hopefully they’ll eventually give this resort the same attention. The biggest disappointment was the condition of the property. The building feels outdated, could use a deep cleaning, and definitely needs some renovations to improve its overall appearance. Also, be aware that the beach is not directly on the property, you have to cross the street to access it. We reserved a cabana by the pool on the sixth floor, but unfortunately, landscaping was taking place that day. The pool area was covered with tree debris, leaves, and dirt, making it much less enjoyable. The staff did their best to clean things up and accommodate guests, which was appreciated, but it still wasn’t the relaxing experience we were expecting. Another downside was the lack of poolside service. If you want food or drinks, you have to leave your chair or cabana and walk to the bar to place your order yourself and wait for it. The food, however, was surprisingly good. We ordered a pizza and chicken tenders with fries, and everything was fresh and delicious. The only letdown was the cocktails, they were noticeably light on the alcohol. The resort pass also advertised two pools, but only one was available during our visit, and the hot tub/Jacuzzi wasn’t working. Ultimately, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it also didn’t quite meet expectations. With some renovations, better maintenance, and improved amenities, this property has the potential to be much better.

Pool Cabana

My friend and I really enjoyed our time at The Hyde. Check-in was a breeze, and the amenities were easy to access - bar, food, tennis court, restrooms. . . The pool was smaller than we expected, but that didn't take away from the experience. We'd definitely come back again.

Day Pass

Nice pool and a good location, just one street away from the beach. Check-in was easy. We visited during the World Cup, so the pool was very busy in the morning with tourists, but by noon most people had left for the Miami stadium and we practically had the pool to ourselves, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. There’s also a hot tub. There’s a bar area where you can order food and drinks. The drinks are made on the spot, but for food you place your order at the counter and pick it up when it’s ready. They don’t take Apple Pay, and there aren’t attendants walking around taking orders, but that was fine with us. We had a great time.
