1. The Beachcomber St. Pete Beach

“It was pretty chilly, so just the ocean was no longer an option. A day pass was perfect as the group we were with had our condos and we just wanted a heated pool. The pool was perfect. The kids swam in it for hours and we really enjoyed lunch and the live music. We didn’t have any trouble getting seats on the ocean at the bar or by the pool.”

“Fantastic option to have the best of all worlds while at St Pete Beach.  Great location, and amenities. The pool is simply delicious, great temperature, clean and enjoyable.  I went early – around 9 am, so I secured my chair at the pool at a great spot for tanning.  Easy access to the beach, great bar pools with lots of options, and beach chairs were also available if you prefer a sand spot.  I love all the services available – chair at the pool, towels, fresh drinking water, bathrooms, shower, complimentary parking, beach access, so you can spend all day and be at the best spot according to your mood without feeling in a big crowd. DJ after lunch was also terrific.  The place is very animated and wonderful for people of all ages. Highly recommended for people of all ages.  Also great food in the hotel restaurant, and fantastic coffee. Definitely will come back when in the area.”

3. Courtyard St. Petersburg Clearwater/Madeira Beach

“My husband and I are locals and we decided to bring our 2 guests here (since our community’s pool is unheated). Front desk agent Shelli was so friendly & welcoming! She gave us all the info we needed and made our check-in seamless. The pool area is located right downstairs from the lobby, the towels are right by the entrance gate. It was an overcast day & we had it mostly to ourselves. The hot tub was perfectly hot & the jets were great. The pool was warm and a nice break from the hot tubs. We did BYOB seltzer cans, but the front desk has plastic cups for you if needed. We ordered from Pizza Hut but there was a pizza restaurant called Slyce adjacent to the hotel (we didn’t see it until after). The view of the bay was very pretty! Enough tables & lounge chairs. The restrooms were clean & conveniently located. We chose here because we showed our guests the nearby beaches first. We dined at Caddy’s Madeira after we left this hotel (5 min away), so this location was perfect!”

“My husband and I live in Tampa and decided to staycation at the Don Cesar on a holiday Monday. From the moment we arrived at the valet stand ($30, pay when you leave) we were ushered like royalty into the property. We followed the instructions sent to us with our confirmation and headed toward the fitness center to check in. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman named Eric who gave us our tour and taught us about beach tryptophan and how it relaxes you like a Thanksgiving dinner! Google it! Eric showed us the way to the refreshments, the jacuzzi, and the sauna, and pointed us in the direction of the pool and beach. We grabbed towels from the cabana and settled into our lounge chairs in the shade. We kept commenting on how comfortable the lounge chairs were! Our poolside server was Greg; he was so prompt and attentive that it felt like private VIP service. After several Guava Margaritas and a swim, we ordered lunch. Highly recommend the cheeseburger or the Cuban sandwich – it IS a day of indulgence, after all! We spent the majority of the day in the pool; once poolside service started to shut down, we headed inside to the jacuzzi and sauna. We were alone which was so nice. We relaxed in the jacuzzi, got a good sweat going in the sauna, and then separated into our luxurious locker rooms to shower and head home. It was SO SO nice to have luxury amenities and toiletries available for showering/dressing before departure. We arrived home and had nothing to do except crawl into bed and dream about the pink sandcastle called the Don Cesar. We will definitely, absolutely, without a doubt – be back! Worth every penny.”

“Had a lovely day with both pool and beach access. It wasn’t crowded, despite being a weekend. The towel service was unlimited, and there were ample beach umbrellas for all. There was a simple beach bar next door to easily grab food.”

“This was my first time trying the day pass thing, and my experience made me a fan! The staff was very friendly and helpful in checking in. The pool area was awesome, and there were plenty of chairs. The pool bar staff was great too, and the food was good. I had the coconut shrimp and they were just the right flavor and crispness.
It was very easy getting set up on the beach, and they honored the half-price discount for day pass guests without any hassle. The wind picked up later in the day, and they had folks who had the chairs and umbrellas move up to the cabanas with no upcharge, so they could close the umbrellas up. It was a great day all around. I will definitely return to Dolphin Beach, and I will also try some other locations after having such a good experience with this first one.”

“What a charming new spot in St. Pete Beach!  We enjoyed the relaxing poolside aura, attentive service, and trendy atmosphere. We went on a Monday holiday so unfortunately the restaurant/bar wasn’t open to enjoy but will certainly be back soon to experience the pool again!”
