Great pampering day at the Spa

We did a cabana which was shaded and had a ceiling fan. The food and pool bar were great. Excellent pool and a beautiful view. Only hiccup was checkin.

This was my first time doing a resortpass and it was a very positive experience. The directions provided by the intercontinental were clear and helpful. Upon arriving to the hotel, our bags were taken to storage and we were directed to the concierge. We got there a little before 10 AM which was no problem. It was a Sunday and the pool attendant arrived right at 10 to start opening things up. They had sunscreen and water (regular and flavored) at the hut. As others said, around 12-12:30 the sun will disappear behind the buildings. So if you are wanting a long day at the pool to tan, this might not be the place for you. My only critique would be the large-ish price difference between the day pass and the day+spa pass. To me the main benefit of the day+spa pass is getting access to showers, but it didnt feel worth it to pay an extra $35 just to shower!

Great for after cruise!

Booked a day pass because we had late flights getting off a cruise. We wanted a place to hang out until we were able to leave. 
Took a taxi from the port to hotel ($50).. when arriving at the hotel they did not have any of my information and couldn't find my booking number. They were booked for the day and we had to leave. And take another $50 taxi to the air port.. I reached out to customer service, no one has responded. They took the money and Ive not been able to get a refund. Literally don't book this!! Wasted $200.

I really enjoyed my day at the Intercontinental. There were some minor issues -- they were out of towels at the pool for maybe 45 minutes and the spa was pretty noisy, but the facilities were nice and I generally had a nice time. I really appreciated the option to access the spa without booking a service. There's lots of options for food and drinks and the luggage storage was easy. It's worth noting that the pool here is between two buildings, so it only has sun until about noon, so it's definitely better the first half of the day than the second. 

Overall Great Day

My flight got in at 9 AM and the day pass with massage was perfect after an early morning flight. I relaxed in the relaxation room, layed by the pool, got my massage, had lunch by the pool and headed to the cruise port which was super nearby! The staff was super friendly. Cierra, the bartend (forgot name) and massage therapist (forgot name) were all fantastic!!

We booked this day after our cruise. The spa area is simply amazing!  We changed there for our flight. Its beautiful, peaceful and full of amenities. 

The pool area is so pretty. But due to the high buildings there was no sun!  That was why we came. Also Jason and Gabriella werent really that interested in helping us. We had to ask a few times to get there attention. But the day was completely saved by Mario the valet. We didnt know that there was a marathon and traffic might be difficult. Mario arranged for airport transportation and it was excellent
