Holiday Inn Resort Fort Walton Beach

Just a short drive from our home in Navarre Beach, we really enjoyed our fun day just hanging out in the beautiful pool and floating down the lazy river.  The fun waterfalls added to our grandchildren's thrill as PaPa acted silly under them!  Nice and clean bathrooms poolside.  Very friendly and welcoming staff.  Great food and service in the restaurant and a discount for locals and kids eat free!  The whole day was not only reasonably priced and affordable but exceeded our expectations.  Thank you!

Great Staycation location!

Loved the location and pool. There are not a lot of floats for the lazy river part and the jets that make the water flow through that area didn’t seem to be on. There are also limited seats with umbrellas poolside (especially compared to the next door pool)  so you want to get there earlier enough to snag one. There’s a different company that rents out the seats and umbrellas on the beach, already set up, but expect to pay about $17 an hour or $50 a day to use those. The hotel is clean and beautiful and the staff are extremely helpful. We loved the fun drink combos the inside bar had come up with for mini bucket drinks. 

Fun for a daycation

Had a great time lounging in the pool and walking on the beach. Got some cocktails at the tiki bar. Very relaxing

Nice Daycation. Amenities were very nice. The pool area was very clean and plenty of lounge chairs provided. Entry  to the beach was very accessible. Very well kept. Will visit again for sure.

We had the best time!

The Hilton Garden Inn and the Holiday Inn Resort each have a pool and are connected by a large outdoor tiki bar with a DJ on the day we were there.  Good drinks, a little pricey, but mock-tails available for the kids.  DJ played fun music and gave away some prizes during a few rounds of trivia. Ocean-front with access so you can have the pool and beach in one day.  Hilton pool has small lazy river with a few inner tubes so you can bring your own float.  Not too crowded during our Easter/Spring Break trip.  We were staying about 15 miles north in Miramar Beach so came here to hang out with friends for the day.  Nice waterfalls, small game room, plenty of pool chairs/tables on day we visited.  
$15/child seemed fair, but $30/adult was too much in our opinion.  With fees it was $98 for our family of 4 to buy the ResortPass for a day.  We've visited wayyyy better resorts for the same cost.  Will try a different resort next time.

2 pools for one!

My bestie and I have birthdays 3 days apart so every year we take the weekend and have fun, but this year we couldn't really spend too much money .  We are locals and we found out about this day pass for the hotel.  It was perfect!  We got to use all of the amenities all day and night.  We lounged by the pool, floated in  the lazy river, had libations at the tiki bar.  They had a D.J. playing good music. Sometimes it's fun to play tourist in your own town and not break the bank.  The Holiday Inn let us do that.  We will be doing this again!

Daypass

We enjoyed our daycation. The hotel was nice but the heated pool was freezing cold. It was too cold to get in. We definitely did not enjoy that. Also we never saw any employees out by the pool. No one ever came up and asked if we wanted something to eat or drink the entire time we were there and we were there for about at least 8 hours. We ended up walking next door to purchase something for lunch. Also when the mermaids came out to make their appearance, a man wheeled both of the girls out on a hotel luggage cart and dropped them in the water on the steps. They were freezing cold. They sat there trying to get use to the temperature of the water for about 30 minutes before they made it across to the rocks. I recommend waiting to go until it is full blown summer time.
