The accommodations at Grand Hyatt Vail were terrific. The pool was very clean and the atmosphere was great. In addition, the free valet parking is a big plus.

Day Pass

The Grand Hyatt was wonderful. We entered the pool area and enjoyed the peace and quiet beauty of the mountains. Very nice cocktails and lunch by pool side. The staff were attentive and helpful. We would definitely do this again.

Day Pass

Great spot and beautiful pool in the trees by the creek. The confusion on what the resort pass included was a bit messy but a fine experience overall. Pool side service was so so but the location was wonderful

Day Pass

free valet was nice. however this pool legitimately felt like a daycare. there were, not exaggerating, 15-20 small children in the pool at one point. they were cannonballing/splashing to the point that my friend and i asked them to stop. parents did not seem to care that their kids were splashing so much - the splashes got pool water in my drink which was on a lounger chair. lots of trash left on loungers from people who had left. hard to track down anyone working at the snack shack or bar. I felt this was a huge waste of money.

Poolside Daybed

We tried to remain open minded and overlook the flaws at first, but due to the conditions, we had to leave. We were told by the front desk to check in at the Spa. The spa was closed and the doors were locked thus check in was not possible (nor were further purchases possible). This was during Spa operating hours. We finally found someone to help us at the pool bar. They found our daybed reservation. We did not get a daybed as pictured and reserved. There is only one daybed in the entire pool area- already occupied and several were showing as available upon reserving on resort pass. We did not have any shade canopy or umbrella for the chairs we were offered (though shown as included with daybed on resort pass). The facilities including the pool, cold plunge, deck and furniture were not clean. There is no steam room or lounge area as listed on resort pass amenities. The hotel website lists a steam room, indoor sauna, showers and locker room with a lounge area in the spa (again, closed and no one to help us). We were told twice there is no locker room. A small bathroom in a service corridor is the only place you could change near the pool. The valet parked our nice car in the direct sun and left the keys in it. They did not have any record of our Valet. After explaining the make/model of the car to the valet, they searched for the keys and then just pointed to our car, saying “oh it’s over there, I left the keys in it”. The feature of Gore Creek advertised is barely visible from the pool area. The pool and pool area is much smaller than it looks in the pictures and I would barely call it an infinity pool as the water just runs into a paint chipped drain below. There is no champagne saboring, smoothie cart or churro cart as advertised. Don’t get a cabana- It’s just some worn out furniture on dirt. While the type of patron is of no control of the hotel, I would estimate 10 children were present so heads up as it is not a relaxing atmosphere and overcrowding is an issue. One of which who had a bloody nose in the pool. I did not see anyone take any steps for cleanup thereafter. If you’re looking for subpar 1-star hotel vibes with zero customer service, this is the place for you otherwise don’t bother.

Beautiful views of the river and surrounding mountains. The pool is small but it’s perfect for cooling off while relaxing by such beautiful scenery. Staff was very kind as well!
