All-Inclusive Day Pass

It was ok for a low key beach break. Food and drinks were meh. Staff was nice. Beach was nice. Pool was big and clean, but we didn’t use it.

All-Inclusive Day Pass

There was no welcome & the day-pass folks were a bit ignored. Our check-in (with passports, etc) took forever. Also, they took our passports while we were there, which surprised all of us. What was the reason for that? The food & drink were very mediocre. I don’t think I’ll go there again.

All-Inclusive Day Pass

The beach was beautiful, and the facilities were nice overall. We were approached many times by women offering massage and pedicures, as well as people selling items, right inside the resort chair areas. I probably talked to 4 different women about not being interested in a pedicure. The buffet was not great, and there is no towel service. After getting to the pool and going to the towel area, I was told towels aren't included in the all inclusive. . . I had to request cards from the front desk (which seemed like a favor or I would have to pay?), then take those cards back to the towel booth, get 4 towels, and when I returned the towels, I got the 4 cards and had to return those to the front desk. The front desk also held the IDs of every adult in our group, vs just me who made the reservation.

All-Inclusive Day Pass

we were on a mission trip to Santiago and wanted to experience the beautiful beaches of the DR. The day pass was the perfect way to go for our group of 31. This was our 2nd year to go to this resort. PROS: check in went smoothly for our large group. We had 2 extra people join us so we had to pay onsite. I was surprised to find that adults were $50 and kids $25, without any fees and was cheaper than booking through the resort pass website. The hotel had a clean beach, soft sand, it was windy so the waters were murky and the waves were strong - couldn't go too far out and definitely could not see anything when snorkeling (however it could have just been the day we were there). The water was still beautiful. Beach recliners were plentiful, but hard plastic. The had boogie boards and kayaks included. Towels were also included, which was nice. It seemed fairly family friendly with just a few people wearing swimsuits that showed off a little too much IMO. Fun sand volleyball area right on the beach. There was a wonderful coffee shop with pastries we all really enjoyed. CONS: the pool and restaurant were quite a long haul from the beach, not enjoyable to walk so far and split our group up. The pool is nothing fancy at all and you cannot see the beach even kind of. Nowhere to change into or out of your swim clothes other than the 2 locations with just 2 stalls that were very very small restrooms. And stalls had no hooks and a wet floor - so quite challenging. Food was not great at all and very little selection even in the nice restaurant. Don't love they make you leave your passport upon check in, but it is what it is. All in all, think there are better resorts with a day pass in the area, and I would contact the resort directly, you may be able to get a better deal going straight through them.

All-Inclusive Day Pass

It is a good location, I walked here from my resort I was staying at.. wanted a change in scenery and to try new foods. Viva is very small compared to the resort I stayed at and I did not like that. Hotel itself is very beautiful though, pools and beach very lovely. Food was OK. Staff were a bit rude but that can be expected as tourists. I enjoyed their coffee shop they had on site. Overall decent experience but I would not stay at this resort.

Food was very limited and not very good. Drinks were also limited and serviced in tiny cups. Bar service was quick. Front desk made using our pass difficult

All-Inclusive Day Pass

We had a good time at this resort. Check-in was smooth, although they keep your drivers license til you leave...a little unnerving. Front desk couldn't break a $100 which limited our tipping ability. Towels were ratty and worn and if you lose the key card for the towel, they will charge you. Hot tub was greenish and not hot. We asked about it but no one seemed to know what was wrong with it. We went to the beach which was very nice and relaxing. Weather was not great but we made the best of it. Lunch was very nice with lots of options. Pool was large and clean but it started to rain so we didn't get to try it. Bathrooms by the pool were just gross, so we used the other ones by the spa. Overall it was good day but we would probably try a different resort next time.

All-Inclusive Day Pass

It said it was all adults? There were at least 10 kids running around but regardless it was a cute little spot. Definitely on the smaller side of the resorts. The food was okay, nothing to rave home about. Overall it was a good experience for a day pass. The foam party was cool and different. We had a good day!

Water was full of seaweed and trash. Booking number does not suffice for. Check-in. You need proof of purchase as well. Its usually the email that has the amount paid and the last 4 digits of your credit card. other than that, good was mediocre at best.
