Food and drinks are tasty and relatively good value.<br><br>Things to keep in mind: the poolside bar is only open Th-Sat, pool tends to lose the sun in spring by 3:00 pm, later in summer. Get there by noon if you want to get a chair. Calm vibe in the morning but a DJ often plays in the afternoon so if you want quiet all day this might not be the place. Family friendly but I&#8217;ve rarely seen kids there. The hotel is dog-friendly but not allowed by the pool (although I&#8217;ve seen staff let it slide). I was able to valet my car and head upstairs. There wasn&#8217;t a self-parking option unless you park on the street. Check-in was easy and fast. My pool card key wasn&#8217;t working so the front desk attendant caught it and was able to key me into the pool. She then brought up a working key. The restrooms are convenient and clean. I was able to grab a chair and umbrella easily because there weren&#8217;t very many people there. The pool is very relaxing and has a nice view of Dallas. There is lots of construction going on around but I was able to tune that out.&nbsp; I ordered lunch while there since it was happy hour. I chose to go downstairs to the bar to cool off. I had a couple of drinks while waiting for my food. I took my food to go back upstairs to the pool. The turkey club and truffle fries were tasty. I was able to read, nap, and enjoy some solo time for the day. I arrived in the late morning and there were lots of chairs to choose from. The pool was in the shade initially, but as the day continued, the pool was exposed to more of the sunlight. As the day wore on, more chairs became occupied. The only attendant I saw was the bartender. It was left to the guests to police their seats and move chairs\/couches\/tables around. Everyone was very nice and helpful. There is a bathroom on site and towels were provided. The staff is very service-oriented and cares about making your experience the absolute best possible. The adult section was protected, even when a couple of moms brought six children into the area and allowed them to venture into the adult side of the pool. They were quite rowdy, but the staff immediately quieted the children and explained to the women that the children could not be in the water. It was as though a wand had been waived and the incident was no more. They treated the situation with the utmost respect for the moms and the rest of the guests. They do have a significant area for children, so we were surprised they weren&#8217;t over there.\u00a0 The activities and water fun available for kids are fabulous, and the lazy river is a nice cool adventure. It was the best burger and fries that I&#8217;ve had in a long while. It was easy access from the spa to the pool and back again. We really felt that we were on a vacation, far far away from D\/FW. We had chicken quesadillas and although they looked small, they were super filling &amp; delicious. The food was very fresh. Their margaritas are freakishly sweet, so we switched over to other cocktails. The food was reasonably priced, cocktails a little high but it was a terrific deal. I was there with my fianc\u00e9. I\u2019ll book a time to take my mom as well in the future. Family-friendly but the \u201csitting edge\u201d around the entire thing so it\u2019s easy to soak &amp; sip. Attentive, friendly staff, close-by gorgeous bathrooms. The pool and fitness center are on the 32nd floor and have a fantastic view of downtown. The long pool is ideal to do laps in (not a huge pool, but bigger than other indoor pools around). On a Monday midday, it was quiet and a good place to relax for a few hours.
